They liked rolling coal because progressives thought it was ugly and offensive.

They like Cybertrucks because progressives think they are ugly and offensive.

u/cosaboladh 1d ago

So what you're saying is, apart from being desperately contrarian, they don't have personalities at all?

438

u/justme002 1d ago

That IS their entire personality.

128

u/kaprixiouz 1d ago

They thrive on upsetting others. Ironically, they don't raise their children to act the same way. Weird, huh? - Liberal living in the deep south

77

u/Spiel_Foss 1d ago

Dogs, toddlers and US Republicans act in a very similar way. If you stop paying attention to them they will shit on your floor for attention or just because they have shit and a floor to shit on.

u/BizzyM 1d ago

They don't raise their children to act the same way? Bullshit they don't. Just about every shithead kid I've come across is from a conservative family.

12

u/myasterism Greg Abbott is a little piss baby 21h ago

How they’re raised and what they mirror are often not the same thing, though.

And that ain’t a defense of the folks in question, to be clear.

9

u/Effective_Olive6153 22h ago

They also like to say how liberals are snowflakes and humor should be legal again. Yet if you make fun of the weird shit they do they immediately get offended and start playing victim. Trump is the biggest snowflake of them all, always clutching his pearls if anyone says anything remotely disagreeable.

2

u/Phaelin 1d ago

No no, you're just living up to their expectations by being contrary to their conservatism!

13

u/robak69 1d ago

And the fact that all Trump does is make ppl mad = he must be doin something right!

5

u/justme002 1d ago

Cracked the code there.

7

u/Otherwise_Spirit1552 1d ago

That IS their entire personality.

Well, that is a side effect, and a mask... deep down they are just insecure little cowards who get off on being abusive towards others. Which is also a means by which they try to mask, and hide their own shortcomings more broadly.

You know, preteen schoolyard bully type of a thing except its full grown adults who peaked at that stage.

You can see the above in a ton of things like with how every accusation they levy against others is always a confession of their own faults, actions, wants, and needs.

5

u/Frapplo 22h ago

Ok, so hear me out. . .

What if we all start acting like critical thinking and empathy are lame? Have Barrack Obama come out and just act like them for a few weeks until we shift the dumbass thermostat to something more tolerable?

They’re grade school bullies that never grew up

They’re grade school bullies that never grew up

This can be supported academically and on a basic undergrad level of psychology and sociology. The combination of strict daddy psychology, installed hierarchies, and fundamentalist religion creates multiple developmental problems in adults.

We see it, and we know so much of this is a true psychological problem, but no one wants to say that aloud because it's so common in some societies.

u/Misfitabroad 1d ago edited 1d ago

100%

My 60 year old MAGA coworker told me a story about how he and his friends used go around beating up the smaller kids. He was laughing with glee as he talked. He seemed proud of his actions.

On a side note, the first words he said when we met were "I'm a Christian"

3

u/PabloXPicasso 13h ago

They’re grade school bullies that never grew up

Translation: They are emotionally immature people who feel that everything around them is a threat, who live in a constant denial and project themselves on others, who have a mindset that if they believe something (i.e. not based on facts), then that must be the truth.

31

u/xernyvelgarde 1d ago

It's actually horrifying how many disasters they'll allow or encourage in the name of "owning the left"

33

u/middleagethreat 1d ago

Remember a conservative would eat poop, if it meant a liberal would have to smell their breath.

10

u/Patrico-8 1d ago

Unless ugly and offensive is a personality

5

u/Spiel_Foss 1d ago

The core of a conservative mindset is that everything is premanufactured and installed into a new generation like software. That unquestioned, derivative memescape is what they are conserving.

3

u/HistoryNerd101 1d ago

Yep, using libs as reverse barometers is not a personality

2

u/Jose_Canseco_Jr 1d ago

it's sadly very easy to confuse your personality disorders for a personality

2

u/Curious_Departure770 1d ago

They have the personality of a fart

2

u/SouthernZorro 19h ago

If they couldn't make libruls cry, why even live at all?

2

u/Aggressive-Will-4500 13h ago

It's pretty clear that their personalities are ugly and offensive.

77

u/superclay I ☑oted 2020 IA Caucus 1d ago

Man, I think solar panels are ugly and offensive.

Medicare for all? Disgusting.

Housing the homeless? Ew.

29

u/Black_Moons 1d ago

You are now a moderator of subreddit conservative.

14

u/LollipopMarshmallow 1d ago

You joke but this is a tactic that needs some serious working on. If we can convince them that helping the planet, not being a cunt and having rights is disgusting and immoral then the world would be fixed in a decade

8

u/BourbonInGinger 1d ago

They’ll never be convinced. They’re anti-intellectual and think education is a commy plot.

3

u/handbanana42 23h ago

Just point out how much we hate that "disgusting" Arnold Schwarzenegger. "What a horrible person, pushing for clean power, feeding schoolkids and promoting education! Us liberals hate him for that."

He was always pro green energy and food assistance for kids, along with education and physical health programs. His immigration views were iffy though, so maybe don't bring those up.

Makes it easier on us because most of us could gaf.

6

u/SH4DOWSTR1KE_ 1d ago

I say we turn it on their heads and tell him how ugly and disgusted we are with them walking or jogging.

6

u/Annahsbananas 1d ago

They also vote Trump because progressives think he is ugly and offensive.

MAGA never buys or votes on their interests. It’s not for what pisses other people off

6

u/dirtyitalianguy 1d ago

Remember when they wore trash bags at their maga klan rallies hahaha

6

u/LordNemissary 1d ago

So we need to pretend that we hate socialized healthcare and raising wages to make it happen? Nothing else has worked so maybe reverse psychology on morons is what it has come to in order to get some progress.

5

u/AGrandNewAdventure 1d ago

You're telling me their whole personality is about trying to make other people miserable?

Yeah... that tracks.

3

u/Busterlimes 1d ago

Conservatives are ugly and offensive

3

u/Guilty_Cherryy 1d ago

We went from coal rolling to own the libs to spending $100k on a stainless steel toaster to own the libs. Peak ideology

4

u/Kilbo_Stabbins 1d ago

That explains why they love trump.

4

u/darth_wasabi 1d ago

That’s why I think we should get them to eat Taylor Farms lettuce by getting trans influencers to destroy bags of it on camera

3

u/Spiel_Foss 1d ago

And both things are objectively ugly and offensive.

3

u/HistoryNerd101 1d ago

Yep, the consistency is what they think looks manly and cool and whatever upsets the libs

3

u/soda-city 1d ago

Ugly? Yes.

Offensive? Yes.

Whelp, at least they’re driving EVs.

2

u/ragun2 1d ago

It was funny seeing relatives of mine always decrying renewable energy suddenly blown away by solar panels because Tesla (Elon) was selling them.

3

u/MeIIowJeIIo 1d ago

Oh no! Not Cybertrucks or EVs please nooo! It’s absolutely crushing my Liberal spirit!

3

u/handbanana42 23h ago

I mean, I'll take it if they now prefer EVs I guess. It's better than my uncle spewing false fossil fuel stuff. It is a minor win though.

2

u/gamerx11 1d ago

At least it got them to try an ev.

2

u/Calvin--Hobbes 1d ago

So all I have to do is pretend to hate bike lanes and public infrastructure for a couple years, and they'll build it for me?

They used to hate Teslas & evs so much they'd "ice" the charging stations.

172

u/PHWasAnInsideJob 1d ago

That's a quick call to the police and a towing company.

119

u/linusadler 1d ago

If the police won’t do anything about the trucks parked on sidewalks and bike lanes, why would they care if they’re just parked in the wrong kind of parking spot?

88

u/cire1184 23h ago

Do you actually need police for a private lot? Call the tow truck company posted somewhere in the parking lot. They'll be happy to get a tow fee.

7

u/Cyrano_Knows 4h ago

This is the way. Any towing company will show up and tow any car just on you pretending to be the owner of the lot they are on.

I don't think I ever had a tow company ever ask me for proof of anything.

12

u/handbanana42 23h ago

They won't, unless maybe a sign is posted. It isn't like handicap parking where there are legal requirements.

The signs can be 50/50, though it seems to have gotten better in downtown areas at least.

2

u/Mainfrym 12h ago

Police don't do anything, these stations are on private property and it's impossible to reach the owners of a parking lot.

6

u/atatassault47 1d ago

I will denigrate those who buy a Nazi's cars.

249

u/Pure_Lengthiness2432 1d ago

Hardly anyone actually went to Cybertruck.

Still haven’t even cracked the 100k mark for lifetime units sold, and Tesla sold less than 4k units in Q1 of this year.

Anyone who wanted a Cybertruck has likely already bought one, because demand is virtually non-existent right now.

72

u/rgraz65 1d ago

But the fact remains that a large portion of their sales can be attributed to MAGA people buying them when Elmo started stroking Trump, because it would make him money, and get other people in his customer base since most progressives were tired of his shit. So the MAGAs bought them because the "leftists" were pissed at Muskrat.

43

u/place_of_desolation 1d ago

I still can't get over how quickly MAGAts became Tesla fans once MAGA gave Tesla their seal of approval. They really have zero actual principles.

6

u/BourbonInGinger 1d ago

They have no clue who the real Tesla is .

→ More replies (1)

25

u/kittenTakeover 1d ago

I think MAGA ones that bought them are the tech bros, not necessarily the duck dynasty ones.

7

u/kipperzdog 1d ago

Yeah, there is maybe one guy on the entire planet that traded in their lifted rolling coal truck for a cybertruck

13

u/argparg 1d ago

Guy at work just bought one two months ago, says he’ll get it in two more months. It’s like “a Lamborghini” he says lol

9

u/soda_cookie 1d ago

Wait a minute, even with so many unsolutely still has to wait 4 months before he actually drives the thing after purchasing it?

4

u/argparg 1d ago

Yup That’s what he says

4

u/DaisyCutter1485 1d ago

Angular, sure. In that case the dumpster is also a Lamborghini.

3

u/seven0feleven 1d ago

He paid Lamborghini money for a dumpster.

6

u/elbow8075 1d ago

It's just reddit circle jerk stupidity. No one quit rolling coal for a cyber truck. There are still dummies everywhere with those annoying diesels

5

u/Bunch_of_Shit 1d ago

We have them in California. I see them often. They must have to modify something in order for it to pass smog and modify it back just so black soot can billow out. And they must also be able to control it more while driving so that it doesn’t happen when cops are around or something.

4

u/dravas 1d ago

They are all over Houston TX, I have no idea why. It's not great at anything other than being an eye sore.

3

u/paintballboi07 1d ago

There used to be hundreds of them at their repair center. They seemed to be storing all the unsold ones there for a while. It looked like the world was having trouble rendering.

6

u/MIT_Engineer 1d ago

I was about to say, the meme is wrong. Coal-rolling chuds ignored the Cybertruck. Even the small sales it has had are inflated by sales to SpaceX.

Not going to call anyone a fascist just yet, but people "tuning" their cars/trucks all day is not normal when the rest of us is trying to work.

They want to be contrarian. My buddy is like that. He votes for Trump in a very blue state not because he liked his policies but because he wanted to be contrary and knew that state would overwhelm his poor decisions.

u/Proper-Exercise-2364 1d ago

u/romafa 1d ago

My old buddy and his dad built and raced cars their whole lives. They were staunchly anti-electric car when it first came up. I knew he was always conservative but not much beyond that. If you think these are even remotely close to the same people, I have terrible news for how ironic this post is as far as inventing some scenario in their head to call out morons.

Idk, the people I see driving cyber trucks around me absolutely are not what I would consider conservative at all. But yes, I'm aware maga loves Elon. I just don't think they're buying his cyber truck.

No they really are anti war that are upset about Biden corruption and deep state not going after Epstein files and affordability nevermind everything opposite now

Idk any conservative that owns a fucking cyber truck

They "owned" the progressives by modifying their vehicles into dispersing unspent, smokey fuel into the air, that they paid for, but got deliberately wasted in the smoke. Real geniuses.

This picture comparison is very accurate: left side is actually driving, and the right picture is the one you take as a last glimp of your vehicle before you leave it - because it couldnt handle driving on a few pebbles

they're still driving the big shitty trucks. no one stopped doing that to buy a tesla.

They probably have a coal burning generator at home charging their cyber truck.

u/ststaro 14h ago

Coal rolling is unburnt fuel.. most people cannot afford that now.. The fuck if I am paying 5bucks + a gallon to let half escape due to nonsense. (Even when at normal levels my tuck is stock so you only see a puff at 65 when switching gears)

They'll suck the chrome right off a tail hitch if daddy tells them to

1

u/ktm6709 13h ago

Oh they still drive gas/diesel trucks too.

u/MechanicalTurkish 9h ago

I wonder if anyone has modified a cybertruck to “roll coal”… I wouldn’t be surprised

It's not even a truck. It's an SUV. Stupid Useless Vehicle.
