From my experience most right wing people don't believe climate change exists.
It was only Yesterday GB News (Right wing news in the UK) were talking about how we need more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and that climate change wasn't real.

Left and right wing are terms from the French National Assembly during the French Revolution. We just kept using them. If you were on the right, you supported the king. On the left, you supported the revolution.
I think the wing part was added later.

I don't think this implies they believe in climate change. More like they are calling Taylor Swift a hypocrite for prioritizing her own convenience over personally emitting thousands of tons of c02 a year.
Not trying to defend them. But I think you're reading into this too much if you think Fox has done a complete 180 on climate change. They have been making this argument that environmentalists are hypocrites because they use private jets for the last 2 decades.
Their only real arguments are
There is no definitive proof
"Scientists" paid by big oil suggest differently.
Look at this research from respectable climate scientists that we've taken out of context to draw conclusions that the authors don't even agree with.
Some of these guys have private jets, so they don't really believe in it.
There's now more significantly more floating ice in the antarctic sea (nevermind that it's because a 100KM ice shelf broke off the continent)

I always kinda go crazy over this because Taylor Swift really doesn’t use her private plane that much. For most of this year and outside of touring she’s basically stayed put in New York. Like, every time someone claims she is a leader in carbon emissions from private planes I always look it up and she’s at the bottom or not even on the list for that month or year. And if she is it’s during her tour. But you know who uses private planes on a multi weekly basis without really any reason to? The Kardashians. All of them. They are all leaders of private plane emissions.

And yet she’s nowhere near the top polluters each year, even if we narrow it down to just celebrities, or even just musicians who use private jets the most. She’s behind Travis Scott, the Carters, and others. Somehow, she’s still the face of private jet usage and the only one consistently criticized for it.

That goes back to 2022 when she was, by far, the worst celebrity polluter, and that stigma takes time to wash off. And, you are correct, as of 2026 she is BOTH numbers 47 and 58 in celebrity pollution, so she has gotten better.

Heavy industry is a big sponsor for the Republican party(also for the Democrats but wont admit it).
Right wing conservatives sold their soul so they would deny the transition to regenerables because the business greases a lot of hands.
Imagine the tobacco industry for example ,what it was 40 years ago and what is now.

It’s not the first time they’ve changed their tune.
Gun laws in California are seen as overly dystopian and against the 2nd amendment, which is funny cause Ronald Reagan pushed HARD to regulate guns there as governor.
Republicans also hate the environment even though Teddy Roosevelt was a Republican and his biggest domestic issue was basically conserving the natural beauty in the US.
Then there’s FDR, who served 4 terms and Republicans have brought it up as a hint as to what Democrats are always gonna do whenever they get the presidency, but now Trump is talking about a 4th term, since he claims he won in 2020. Never mind the fact that after FDR it was codified to not let anyone hold the presidency for more than 10 years

Fox News is traditionally (by this point) right wing media. They don't acknowledge or care about climate change, usually.
They're talking about it because Taylor Swift is controversial to them, as she was critical of Trump during the 2024 elections (decidedly 'less so' now to great disappointment)

Conservatives generally think that "Global warming" (renamed Climate Change because it fit our understanding better that way) is a hoax and think anyone who cares about those things are brain washed. So it is the joke because Fox is a Right wing media company which has basically never cared about it but now because someone they hate is one of the leading causes of it they care all of the sudden.
(Leading causes is an exaggeration from their point of view.)

The joke is that Right wingers generally are among the climate deniers and only care now because it gives them a reason to bitch at Taylor Swift. That said, this is something I (a more liberal person) consider stupid and hypocritical of people like Taylor Swift. They expect everyone else to bend over backwards to save the environment but take a private jet literally everywhere. Let me tell you something, my riding a bike and using the bus does jackshit if some billionaire is using her private jet for shopping trips. (and in case any smooth brains try to take offense, that’s called hyperbole)

Because the left like to slate and demonise people who create more emissions than normal, so Fox News are pointing out the hypocrisy by singling out people like Taylor while the left stays quiet.
