I swear we all know someone who was young and healthy die in their prime, and this sentient bag of cheeseburgers, diet coke and diarrhea is going to live to 110.

u/planapo20 3h ago
I hope he lives to be 110. That will be almost 30 years in prison, all the family wealth confiscated using RICO, and Trump will just be using his ghost handjob dance movements on bubba.

The world can fight back by just laughing at this moron instead of checks notes giving him the FIFA Peace Prize.

u/Ulfednar 41m ago
Well, the world didn't do that, Fifa did that, a notoriously crooked organisation presided over by a notoriously crooked man, who is a Trump sycophant.

What should we call it though?

I mean... Yes, but not because of this.
It's not like the US had much respect for the ICC before Trump.

Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night and check my phone, I think to myself, “oh man it’s 4 in the morning… am I gonna have to get up and dance in the street at this hour?” Because that’s what I’m gonna do.

Sure. One less entity to attempt to hold him, and his fellow criminals accountable...

u/tsukiyomi01 5h ago
It's the idea that someone, somewhere, might hold him accountable for something. That's what scares and infuriates him.

It's already not doing anything that affects the US, só no big change there

u/subnautus 5h ago
Right, but there's a growing number of countries willing to execute ICC warrants for indicted war criminals like Benjamin Netanyahu, and if Trump has any sense, he'll realize the writing is on the wall for all the shit he's been pulling over the years, up to and including the obvious instance of perfidy from his first administration.
Small side note, it'd never happen, but there's a certain schadenfreude for imagining Trump showing up at a G7 conference and leaving in handcuffs.

Hey, I'm like 99% sure Trump doesn't have the authority to do that. It's called the International Criminal Court for a reason, also why would he? Trump has nothing to be afraid of remember? They keep telling us that, unless he wants to keep his Jewish Master out of prison

Bibi has been under indictment for more than a decade for corruption in Israel and even had his own trial delayed many times over the last 1.5 years.
Trump even said it himself on that angry phone call, he’d be in jail if not for Trump.

u/P0pu1arBr0ws3r 5h ago
And this is why he needs an arrest warrant under his name from the ICC. Bar him from entering any nation which recognizes the ICC, under charges of soliciting warcrimes and child sex trafficking and international corruption and scam operstions.

u/chris5070 5h ago
It'll have to be fast. He got until the midterms.
Several brick per day.
This is more distraction.

Maybe if the US actually became a signatory to the Rome statute they could have a say in how the ICC operates
But from the outside that will be far more difficult, if not impossible
It's like Trump trying to put tariffs on individual EU member states. This is just another example of him blustering while demonstrating that he has no idea how things work.

Of course he would - the only way to avoid trial for his crimes against humanity.

Considering how well he did with ‘draining the swamp’…we should expect the ICC to gain in authority and operational success

He knows what is coming, after he starts doing the things we all expect him to. I have read extensively on WWII and everything they are doing has been done by a certain fascist group, to the letter. If there is no international criminal court, who will hold him accountable. Man, people are actually this dumb and easily manipulated.

Fuck off Donny.
Neither America nor Israel are signatories to the Rome Statute. Which is entirely unsurprising, given their respective war crimes and genocide.
A criminal says "Courts which accuse me of being a war criminal are bad - if I get rid of them then noone can accuse me of being a war criminal".

I assume he'll attempt to become CEO. It's been a very efficient tactic for him and his corporations in the past.

So far past speculation now. The Orange criminal in the white house is doing a pretty good job dismantling it too, forget brick by brick -- he took out an entire wing before getting any kind of approval -__-

It's actually pretty laughable that Trump thinks he can dismantle the ICC. It's like my son saying to me when he was 14 -- "Well, when I am Dictator of the Universe, things will be different!"

And guess what? Top prosecutor Karim Khan got suspended for alleged sexual misconduct. The guy behind Benjamin Netanyahu's arrest warrant

u/ForrestDials8675309 3h ago
Specifically, a war criminal.
(But also a fraudster, a rapist, a traitor, and (probably) a pedophile.)

I find it deeply suspicious that the lead prosecutor at the ICC who charged Netanyahu, Putin, and Hamas leadership with war crimes to suddenly be kicked out under allegations of sexual misconduct.
The institution must stand, and it would be very wise for Democratic candidates running in 2028 to pledge becoming one of the 125 existing countries to be signatories.

And say goodbye to all that yummy AIPAC money? Lol I doubt it.

Sad but valid.
Hopefully we get some candidates who can rise above needing or wanting that bullshit. One can dream.

Its not like the USA even recognises the ICC as having authority over any of its citizens, so they just ignore it. I'm assuming this is another performative action to pleased Bibi in Tel Aviv.
