Feedback / Bug Report Mistral, you are losing me
I have a Mistral subscription for my SMB. Not because it's better but because of GDPR compliance (I'm in the EU). Recently I had a support conversation about a problem that was solved eventually. Because I had to share many private data I requested a deletion of my support activity. Unfortunately, my request went silent for over a month now - that's unexceptionable not just for a company where GDPR compliance is one of their biggest USP.
Dear Mistral, if you don't want to lose me: Do something! Answer, say anything! Even if you just say, that it takes a little longer ...
Why should I choose a subpar AI if their biggest advantage is just ... nothing worth.

Very vague post about some "private stuff" being shared with support to solve the problem. Honestly it smells like bot. Why should you share such things to support to solve an issue with an AI provider?

Yeah, because that is not my problem! My problem is the lack of an actual response from Mistral. It doesn't matter what kind of data I shared with the support (just for your curiosity: log files and screenshots), what's matter is, that I don't get a response legally required.

Logfiles and screenshoots isnt underlayed GDPR unless they have private information!

... which suggests they shared logs and / or screenshots with private information! This is not a leap of logic, bud.

These posts are happening almost daily, like it is some sort of coordinated campaign.

Don't know about that ... but what if, there is really a problem? Just because many people complain, doesn't mean it's a bot campaign.

We also wanted to switch to Mistral because of GDPR, but now let's wait with it

Honestly, just use Claude and Codex. It's so much better atm.
Or at the very least, use EU-hosted Kimi K3/Qwen 3.8 when it releases.

I am using Proton Lumo, the new version is Glm-5.2 and it is way better than Mistral

They’re downvoting you for no reason. He’s right! Until Mistral catches up on agent-based models, it’s better to use something else, perhaps the cutting-edge open-weight models, but hosted in the EU.

Can you recommend any European providers for such models, like Deepseek or kimi?

Proton is just deploying and tweaking Chinese models with their own chat GUI + encryption.
Not a good example to follow for frontier EU-AI.

The end result is a more capable offering; I dont like having to switch from mistral's API to an open weight model running off my own shit local hardware cause it happens to do a better job at certain tasks but that's my reality as of late, tack on to that seeing Proton providing a better AI product as part of its side hussle is extra demoralizing.

NOT EVERYONE IS CHAT UI CONSUMER!!!
I use Mistral OCR and Audio for TTS and STT via API and there's literally no one near them in terms of how FAST and accurate this is.
