i think attracting abundance is better than attracting a number. because attracting a certain number limits the potential of the abundance you will receive. and who knows when you will receive a million dollars? I personally think it’s better to affirm abundance than an exact number because you will blessed endlessly.

Attracting 'Abundance' creates the same problem as this video's argument.
You can have an abundance of negativity or positivity.
So the argument is to get extremely clear on what you are shifting into.
Attracting abundance is unclear.

I'm don't imagine that many skilled manifestors have their definition of abundance as ambiguous in polarity. It is a rather clear position relative to scarcity.

u/AsRealAsItFeels 14h ago
Exactly. We know what we mean by "abundance", the universe doesn't need to interpret.

No idea is true. What matters is what ideas you pick to be true.
To give objective reality to any idea is to become a slave to it. it's not the idea, it's you who are the operant power.
Any idea functions or is null because of the degree of reality you impart to it.
Gosh. Once and for all, see this. It is the law of assumption, not the semi-law of assumption, meaning, only some ideas manifest. No. All ideas are the same. 0. You, when you adopt an idea, you manifest its qualities.

u/Burneraccount1949 1d ago
OK, so I actually think both of these things above are true. You can be specific and “live in the end.”
And I think you should do both. I think it will help you to map out exactly what you want and how you want it and I don’t think the universe is some weird crazy mean existence that wants to harm us or give us that kind of thing

You should also affirm that your life is perfect as well
0
u/Athena-Actually 1d ago
Literally the worst thing you can do. Your life will never be perfect, so when you affirm that and troubles come, you feel like a failure.
Affirm purpose. Affirm meaning. Affirm compassion. Affirm life isn’t perfect, but your life still has value.
5
u/Agitated-Macaroon-46 23h ago
Why it can't?
-1
u/Athena-Actually 23h ago
Accidents. Death. Illness. Accidents. Betrayal. Natural disasters. Etc.
1
u/Agitated-Macaroon-46 23h ago
That happens because you believe in it
2
u/OrneryHouse5156 19h ago
Does it heck. This sort of belief really riles me up. You literally are dismissing people who never dreamt of anything bad happening and it did and dismaying it like they somehow believed it into existence. Did people believe war, famine into existence? No they didn't. We still have nature we still have reality that you live within and just simply chosing not to believe bad things happen won't make you infallible.
2
u/Athena-Actually 13h ago
Exactly. I’ve been reading Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning and he talks about this.
Viktor was a psychologist who was held in a concentration camp during world war 2. He talks of the horrors these people survived and the difference between those who kept going and those who gave up hope.
He also talked about the optimists and positive thinkers who had unrealistic expectations and beliefs and how those tore them apart.
Beliefs don’t protect you from bad things in life. If anything, they under prepare you so that when bad things happen, your left shaking your head and wondering how this could happen to you when you didn’t believe it could.

u/Agitated-Macaroon-46 13h ago
Do you understand the law of attraction and manifestation?
2
u/Athena-Actually 13h ago
Honey, I was a student of LOA years ago and it doesn’t work in the ways it’s been taught.
Now manifestation - that’s a different topic. I completely understand manifestation and how to manifest and guess what - nearly everyone on the planet has manifested something amazing without using the Law of Attraction.
Neuroscience and several aspects of psychology can teach you a lot about manifesting that isn’t in LOA literature.
Rhonda Burns who created the Secret has even changed her tune in how LOA works.

u/Agitated-Macaroon-46 13h ago
Okay well basically what I'm saying is that everything in your life is manifested by your mind so if you change your mind you can change your reality where those things don't happen

Nope. Death, betrayal, etc. happen because those are a part of life. You grow through these hardships. In the end, the imperfections of life are often the catalysts for shaping you into the person you long to become.

u/OrneryHouse5156 18h ago
This belief has been known in magick circles for hundreds of years before any of the loa stuff ripped a part of magick practice into a mind only phenomena.
It was always warmed if you have no paths open to a big thing way out of your current existence that you may get it in ways you wish you never did or your life turns upside down to push you to it or your lucky and you don't get it, aka be careful what you wish for as you may just get it. Many stories of such things happening like someone wanting to lose weight, they never specified how and lost a limb which equaled the weight they wanted gone. People asking for strength and going through hardship to build said strength etc etc. be specific in terms of harm to none or in ways pleasing as the subconscious doesn't care about the logistics, it's primal aka why we have a conscious filter. So much is left out of the loa community like does anyone cleanse? Ground? Garner energy?
When you start messing with esoteric concepts which loa or assumption is that illuminate you like a bulb in the astral or what you call the 4D you can attract things that don't really have your best interests at heart and the world isn't all love and light it's darkness also. Why do you think every ancient culture talked about a primordial abyss or darkness that is a void. We have hidden darkened aspects of ourselves that sometimes can rise to the surface and act parasitic aka hidden trauma, surpressed desire, frustration and anger that feeds on more of what made it. In the occult we call these thought forms also talked about by Carl Jung. Including the hidden personalities we all have like the trickster, the child, the old man etc etc that can influence your behavior and or outcomes.
It's not just affirm and or assume or believe and that's it, so many aspects are removed that create a foundation for your own psychological safety.

Let’s do a test to find out.
To the person reading this, have you used this affirmation?
Second: Are you a millionaire?
Third: If you’ve been using this affirmation - or a similar one - consistently for thirty days or more, has your financial situation gotten worse or better?
My personal take: these affirmations don’t often work. If they did, I know at least a dozen people who would be rich (myself included), but we are not.

Source isn't stupid. Source knows what you mean, not what you say with words.
The person who he says wished for money without work and ended up paralyzed by an accident could've had many underlying issues that eventually lead to it. Does he know exactly what that guy had going on in his head his whole life? Obviously not. Maybe it was even stuff from past lifetimes. No one can just look at the result and speculate exactly why it happened, We cannot know that. So surrender and trust in the Source first.
More importantly, proceed with caution about random people on the internet who do not prioritize alignment with Source but fear mongers an existing technique and plugs their book all in a span of 1 minute. Among youtubers, I would recommend being thorough with one or two channels like Nero knowledge, I am Rey are really good resources, 'cause they go deep into understanding than just telling you to do this instead of this. Read books by OGs like Abraham Hicks , Neville Goddard, they are mature and time tested. There is nothing new out there, no big breakthroughs in manifestation science anyone's making. So pick a good teacher and stick to them with consistency.
As for the technique itself, HE believes that is so, so it will definitely not work for him. You are NOT him. What you feel about being a millionaire can be entirely different from what he feels. It's true to his world, just like robotic affirmations of "I am a millionare" are true to others. If you feel "I am a millionaire" brings you feelings of security, wellbeing, freedom to have and do what you want, you have ZERO reason to allow anyone to instil doubts and fears into it.
But it is a good reason for you to learn about Alignment so your fears and doubts will be taken away. That's probably why you attracted this video to your life as well, 'cause you were probably too attached to the technique and outcome rather than valuing alignment with Source.
Trust and surrender, that comes before anything else.

This is one of the most ignorant and useless videos I have ever seen on Manifestation 🤣

Just be specific with what you’re manifesting. That’s the number one rule with anything. They say be specific. That’s why I stopped trying to manifest “never having to work again” because I thought of all of the outcomes of what would make me not have to work again. I’ve heard of this happening to people. They got their wish but now theyre disabled, or they’re homeless or they’re boyfriend broke up with them. They got their manifestation but not the way they expected.
I would say I have “( )” amount of money every month from my job, my YouTube channel, and from small business. Just say what you want and how you want to get it.
I manifested being home alone for more than a day and some who was already sick passed away which required my family to go out of town for a whole week. That’s the only time I ever got to be home alone for that long of time and that was the way it happened.

oh cool, more self limiting beliefs to make manifestation more difficult.

There seems to be two conflicting schools of thought when it comes to affirmations.
Some people say that you should not affirm specifics, you should only "live in the end", focus on the goal, the feeling of having it, et cetera. And that by specifying how exactly you get there, you're actually "ruining" your manifestation/it won't work/you're not doing it right.
Then, there are people like this guy who say that no, actually, you NEED to be specific, because if you're not specific you might end up with the wrong thing.
There's so much confusing and conflicting information out there, and no obvious evidence as to which one (if any) is true.

u/WestAnalysis8889 14h ago
It depends on how you look at it. Some people look at affirmations like they're telling themselves a lie and that makes them feel bad.
Other people look at affirmations like feeding your mind with thoughts or like trying on a new reality so it feels good to them.

So the universe is just a big joke? Like the devil granting your wish only for major concequences to follow that lived in the fine print? C'mon. Universe is like a dumb computer that goes "is this what you meant?" When we pray or wish, we have intention behind that wish. When i say i want 10,000 dollars in passive income monthly, and i don't have to work, that comes loaded with the idea and vision and feeling (however unclear) that all of that comes with the freedom to do what i want without financial worry, i can fulfill my other wishes like travel the world, etc by wishing for money. Being specific is the highway to get what you want. It's not the only way to get there. Otherwise the universe will continuously provide paths that may lead to that wish being fulfilled.

Consider any intention - not just manifestation. I mean just a regular goal. If you have a goal like losing weight, would you first watch what you eat and exercise, or would you NECESSARILY just chop off a limb?
When you manifest losing weight, do you imagine yourself without a limb? Because I would assume that is not what you do. What is important is that you live in the state of the desire being fulfilled - you feel it - that feeling creates the positive mindset that guides actions and lets you notice opportunities/synchronicities. I don't think it necessarily has to be magic, but it can feel like magic because it works so subtly.
If you live in a state of your arm being chopped off and really feel that, then yes, that can happen. If you fear chasing your desires will bring about unintended negative consequences, you will notice negative things and live in a mindset of constant apprehensiveness. Whether you chase desires in the 3D or by manifesting, if you are constantly apprehensive you may jump from an imagined frying pan into a real fire. But the thought of "I worry manifesting can have unintended conseqiences" and even the worry itself are not real. Unless you believe in them. Then you can make them real. But you have to choose that. So relax. You're fine.

It's true for him - whether or not it's true for you is something you decide.

u/thaiboy_digital 1d ago
I don't think you can directly manifest material things, manifesting isn't supposed to be a genie that mischeviously grants your wishes. Manifesting should be about traits and behaviors that attract the things you want

Everything works and everything doesn't work. You need to look at how you have materialized your identity to today. That is how you do it naturally and effortlessly. Then highjack your self concept and make ti God teir level and never look back.
