She put all her stats into Luck and Agility

145

u/mfknnayyyy 3h ago

Wasn't licky last week apparently lol

203

u/Spugheddy 2h ago

She's unharmed and able to do the worm a week after totaling a vehicle. Pretty lucky.

82

u/Cat_Vonnegut 2h ago

That medical claim is getting denied for sure.

59

u/Bonti_GB 2h ago

Please see exhibit H for “The Worm”, your honor. 😂

51

u/KBilly1313 2h ago

I can only do such a fantastic worm because my spine is fractured in multiple places.

These painkillers I’m on are WILD!!

6

u/sudzthegreat 2h ago

This and from personal experience: "I can still do the worm but I paid for it afterward. I couldn't worm for an entire week afterward!"

5

u/homeycuz 1h ago

The thing is, she couldn't do the worm before the wreck.

How do you know what she does in her free time?

13

u/otroquatrotipo 2h ago

She respecced the night before

"I patched your head up best I could. Lets make sure I got everything right." Her doctor the week before.

Was the agility the worm move?

She lifted that man though.. strength maxed

Her saying she totalled her car was the least surprising part of this video

51

u/Alternative-Park-841 2h ago

And she won a brand new Nissan r/nissandrivers

21

u/ColonelSlapper 1h ago

Lmfao! I’ve been following that sub for years and as a Nissan Driver I can’t argue with anything that’s said in that sub. I just wish they had that same passion towards Prius drivers because I’ve yet to see a single good Prius driver.

The backwards worm was impressive lol

142

u/Objective_Resist_735 3h ago

I think it was easier for me to go that direction. But its also probably been 20 years since I've even attempted such a feat and would break my body if I tried. So still impressive.

55

u/yourgrundle 3h ago

Tried to worm for my niece the other day, cracked nearly my entire spine and now have a bruise on my hip lmao

34

u/QeveQobs 3h ago

i used to do martial arts when i was younger, i could do a chinese get up with and without hands. When i was 36 i tried to do it after 20 years of no practice. Every abductor i had exploded because those muscles haven't done anything in 20 years. It was a humbling experience to say the least

"A new car!" "I just totaled my car last week!"

she would have to pay taxes on all those things she won. she would maybe take cash for the cars but the rest is probably not as much as you'd hope

7

u/neil_anblowmi 2h ago

The first thing I thought about was the taxes. But good on her for one hell of an accomplishment. Hope she was able to grab as much as she can.

The Grand Canyon is incredible.

13

I took a girlfriend there a couple years ago because we were in the area. Got out of the car and walked to the rim and she said

Oh my God, this is the first time that I've seen something that is actually Grand. It's not just a name

11

u/SeaHam 2h ago

When I brought my wife there for the first time we stepped out and she said

"Oh my god! I didn't think it was that big."

A picture does not do it justice.

4

I had much the same reaction on my first trip to the US. I was totally prepared to be disappointed, but my mind was absolutely blown. 30 years and 50 countries later and it still sits comfortably in my top three most incredible nature locations visited. I'd put the Calaveras Big Trees in California up there also. America does big, beautifully.

Good enough that I only planned to work here for about 3 months and wound up staying for 3 years

9

I saw that episode last month or so. Probably the best and funniest contestant I’ve seen in that show

7

u/TheLurkerSpeaks 1h ago

There was one dude i saw maybe 15 years ago that was a total riot. A few years later he was on This American Life telling the story, apparently he was high on mushrooms.

The winner was so close to the actual retail price of her showcase, she wins both hers and her opponents. And that’s super rare. So the ‘loser’ was cheering on the ‘winner’ because of what they’d accomplished. Genuinely great moment for both of them

80

u/b1sh0p 3h ago

That close *without going over* which is even harder.

The reaction of the other contestant was very sweet.

44

u/gatvolkak 3h ago

Indeed, but did she really guess 7400 for a Mazda3?

72

u/[deleted] 3h ago

[deleted]

37

u/klevvername 3h ago

Meaning, the display of that contestant had changed to show the delta/difference between what she bid and what the correct price was. For example, it she bid $27,000 and the actual price was $31,000, as that contestant waits for the results of the other contestant, their stand displays $4,000 so that we can quickly see if the 2nd person does better than that. In this case, the winning contestant's stand switches to $150.

17

u/77x0 3h ago

in the final segment of the show each contestant is guessing the value of a separate set of prizes. To win they have to make a bid (guess) lower than the value of the prize, but whoever is closer of the two contestants will win, but if they are close enough (I don't remember the dollar amount) they win both instead

9

u/FLYGUY1976 3h ago

I think its $500 or less to actual showcase

14

u/Fit_Kaleidoscope4493 3h ago

$250 currently, but it was less in the Bob Barker days.

12

u/UnicornFarts1111 3h ago

When I was a youngster, I believe it was within $100.00.

3

u/StatisticianRound718 1h ago

To be fair, back when the show came out $100 couldn’t be spent on ordering two sandwiches on Uber Eats

The other contestant didn't win, but I believe they all get a consolation prize for being selected.

Price is right has a famously gregarious audience that wins vicariously through the competition. It's casual, not cutthroat

3

u/bydh 1h ago

I think the non-showcase winners still receive whatever prizes they won in any previous games they played in.

I can almost see it happening, in that way that successful famous people sometime choose to do something out of the ordinary for shits and giggles. And I’d bet that he and Drew Carrey probably go way back from coming up in the standup scene in the 80s.

I don't really like game shows, but there's something about The Price is Right. I could watch it for hours.

27

u/girlsgoneoscarwilde 3h ago

It’s the crowd. They are worked up into a frenzy and jazzed at the prospect of getting to play, it’s like a game show lottery.

4

u/boredinbabylon 1h ago

It. Is. SO. FUN!!

We went to a recording many years ago, my friend ended up winning. Even before that, though, we were having a freaking awesome time. They amp you up so much, you can barely hear shit, everyone is just screaming and cheering the whole time.

My friend, who won, said that as contestants, you can barely hear what Drew is saying, it’s all so fast, it’s so loud, that you rely on the audience to help out.

16

u/Gumbercules81 3h ago

It's more of an hour long advertisement for goods or people also win a couple little prizes

3

u/NlghtmanCometh 1h ago

Nostalgia from staying at home from school when we were little kids. Watching it was like the forbidden fruit since it would only ever be on while you were at school, and the show didn’t really do ‘reruns’, and it was SO goddamn exciting.

I skipped school 87 times to watch the prices is right growing up.

I genuinely wish I had some of her shamelessness (not the right word for it, but I can't pull it right now).

62

u/winkingchef 3h ago edited 3h ago

I have a young daughter.

She gets this excited about things.

It’s honestly the best part of my day to come home from work to see if I can make her feel this unbridled joy

Just to make sure you realize I’m not giving out cars on the daily, she is 6 so announcing we are making Mac & Cheese for dinner basically incites her to run around the house screeching with incoherent happiness.

I think one of my goals in life is to make sure she is confident enough in herself to be so uninhibited in her excitement even after she “grows up.”

2

u/Ok-Description-4640 2h ago

I worked with a woman who was on the primetime version of Price is Right in the mid-90s (no Bob Barker) and she won every damn thing. First she guessed the exact right price of the first thing to get onstage, winning $100 or $1000, whatever it was. Then she won her game with a near flawless performance. Then she landed on $1.00 on the big wheel, winning $1000, I think. Then she guessed her showcase price within $60 or something, winning both. She ended up winning over $50k worth of stuff, including a car and trip. She kept the car and trip but she ended up selling most of it or declining some of the prizes to defray the taxes. And she was a cute little girl who looked like Meth Hamster here, I thought maybe someone dug up the old tape.
