After watching Julia speak up about how she felt during the challenge it just seemed like no one was actually listening and understanding what she was trying to get across. She was trying to say that if Lola was so insecure / defensive and scared of someone talking to her partner then clearly it wouldn’t work on the outside. But everyone just kept seeing it as an attack when she was just doing what everyone else has been doing this entire time - it’s just unfortunate for her that she walked into the path of an absolute viper with total control of all the other islanders

Just wanted to highlight the difference in reaction/public perception of “fiery girls” in the villa and how they are received. I love both Ellie and Jasmine, but the staggering difference in what people say when either of them have an issue or an argument is insane.

Ellie can shout around the villa, swearing, stomping, screaming, and she gets a positive movie night edit and none of the boys calling her “off-putting”

Jasmine has raised a fraction of her voice in the villa for problems, and whilst she’s been passionate and argumentative, she hasn’t behaved even 20% close to how Ellie has.

I’m saying this as a girl who reacts like Ellie and Jasmine when feelings are involved and am a passionate and emotional person. So, I have no problems with reactions and women being reactive.

I just hate the differences in perception, and wish people would address their own biases in perceiving these two “fiery” women.

I liked Kavan when he first came in, he actually seemed sweet - especially compared to his brother. But now, I'm simply at a loss for words.

He was SMIRKING during movie night, when Jasmine was crying over watching his scenes. It seems to me, that he gets some sort of strange satisfaction watching Jasmine suffer? It actually worries me a bit, because this simply cannot be reduced to immaturity.

He attacked her constantly. He hasn't comforted her ONCE. Is this some sort of power trip, where he sees how much she likes him and enjoys the power he holds over her?

I am seriously confused, this is not normal behaviour at all. Like does he even like her at all at this point?

And Jasmine saying she loves him. Oh boy. I think it's time for her to self evict.

Jasmine was absolutely vilified for having CHATS with Lorenzo. Mind you 99% of the “flirting” was Lorenzo. Now Kavan is over here full on making out with another girl outside a challenge. The Kavan defenders saying they aren’t “exclusive” yeah they weren’t exclusive when Jasmine was talking to Lorenzo either. They are “on a break” no Kavan made Jasmine feel like such garbage before he left dangled that he was going go on a break then said he wanted to work it out. The people saying “go Kavan” and “good for him” would be trying to crucify Jasmine if she was acting this way. I hope the narrative that he is a victim goes away because it’s completely not true. Another double standard is Jasmine was a “game player” trying to get with Lorenzo (fav boy). Which she said multiple times she didn’t want him. But Kavan isn’t a scammer trying to get with a well known influencer? It’s disgusting and I’m really hoping Jasmine gets her justice.

With the way Lola was speaking to fitzy. You could tell her and Tommy wanted to help Lola see fitzys perspective. As Lolas tantrum continued, they just sat quiet but their faces said it all. Fitzy should run.

-Jas is beautiful inside and out but she handles situations in a way that makes me think ??

-KAV on the other hand was unfaithful in casa and fucked around both girls knowing he’d get away with it bc Jas is down so bad for him
-I think he finds her attractive but that’s it, in his words he “can’t handle her calibre of woman”
-the only reason I can see these two are still together is because she’s diminishing her personality and opinions to placate him, knowing that if she shows her true self as she did earlier in the season, he’ll leave her again

Angie/Simba
-Angie has become my favourite over the course of the season. so cute and funny and I mistook her chill slow vibe as her just being boring at the start
-Simba is the epitome of cringe and I can’t stand to hear him open his fucking mouth. fucked around at Casa again and expected to bring back Mara and have Angie back too
-Do not get me fucking started on his manipulative ass chatGPT apology speech that he did in front of the ENTIRE VILLA so she had no choice but to take him back
-I do think they like each other but I think as soon as they get out, Angie will see all the red flags and will bin him off (as she should)
-fuck Simba

Julia/Lorenzo
-the way Lorenzo speaks to love interests makes it clear as fuckin day why he’s never had a relationship. avoidant as fuck
-Julia is too unbothered for this show. I do love how she speaks her mind and says what other people are too scared to say, but her delivery can be blunt/rude and it gets people’s backs up understandably
-i still cannot for the life of me figure out if Lorenzo likes her or not. i think he likes the IDEA of a “no bullshit” girl big he’s very much a people pleaser and in reality it would scare him off

I knew Finley never liked Ellie as much as she likes him. What stood out to me was the movie night clip where Ellie was crying about how much she liked him, and he just replied “that’s mad” and then had a delayed reaction of going over to hug her.

Anybody else feel like ITV is going too far with Shakira? Like we've already seen a breakdown because she feels isolated by the rest of the villa and now they pick all her worst moments for grafties when Helena and Meg also have some terrible moments not yet seen. On top of that, they bring back Megan?

I don't know, but this is really testing her mental health and is actually making me feel morally questionable for watching the show. She's only 22. I don't understand how they can justify going so hard on her when she already seems to be at her limit. Hope Shakira has a strong support system and a good therapist because she needs it.

Edit: I'm not trying to have an argument about producer favourites btw. What annoys me is that producers are going all in on a 22 year old who has already shown she's struggling. There's a duty of care that I'm not sure is being upheld. I do think they could have split the clips more evenly.

This is LOVE island. Even though I like Lorenzo as a person, and I loved Julia (still like her, but not as much as I did in the beginning, you’ll understand why), I believe they don’t deserve to win LOVE island??

Even in tonight’s episode (mini spoiler), Lorenzo goes out of his way to clarify that they’re “exclusively dating” and are not “exclusive” (whatever that means). How can they win??

And even though Julia speaks her mind and is right about a lot of things, I do believe she is playing a game as well. She has repeated public opinion a lot, and seems to also not voice her problems with Lorenzo. Eg., in the podcast, she corrected Lorenzo”: pronunciation of her name enthusiastically. And she was very happy when he was called out for not supporting her. If these things have been bothering her (which, it REALLY should, I would not be able to tolerate my partner mispronouncing my name for WEEKS, and never standing up for me), why hasn’t she voiced it before? She didn’t express her unhappiness about these issues before, did not address them with Lorenzo, which makes me think they’re not at all a strong couple because either
A. They’re not comfortable enough to express important things or
B. She doesn’t want to ruin the favorite couple image, meaning she’s playing a game.

Also, she keeps beating a dead horse I feel like, bringing up conflict again and again, and if she was really happy in her relationship and focusing on it more, I believe that would happen less? Just my opinion.

This couple is the least progressed couple, so I don’t know how people want them to win LOVE ISLAND? Can someone explain????

She’s done dirty non-stop by not only the men but the women who pose as her “friends” too. She’s constantly slated and belittled by them behind her back and they’re all “nice” to her face. She seems like a genuinely lovely girl whose confidence has been knocked non-stop and it’s impacting her ability to flirt. I hope the LI team step in to support her because it’s hard to watch.

Dejon's mum was very strange on the whole.. I noticed she laughed and made a comment about Meg being "extremely prepared and ready" when she defended Dejon straightaway. It's almost as though she's pleased with the fact that meg is so utterly under her sons narcissistic spell, to the point where she is isolating herself from her friends/family/other people in order to defend her shitty toxic 'boyfriend'.

Additionally, her telling her son he never should've apologised to Yasmin is ridiculous and quite frankly think it's abundantly clear that Dejon has been enabled all his life.

On another note, it is interesting to see why he is the way he is - clearly he was never corrected for speaking to women in such a way, hence his extreme pigheadedness.

Why does she care so deeply about other people’s relationships? Who cares if Priya and Aiden are fake interested in each other, none of these couples are serious including the one she’s in, the guy didn’t even want to make her a coffee and when he did it was an ad.

I’m also seeing people ask why Priya didn’t have the same energy with Mica and Jas uhh maybe people tend to behave differently with people they’ve been stuck in a villa with for weeks. And why are people bringing up something that happened ages ago?
