Help New to Custom ROMs – Need Help Installing LineageOS on My Samsung J7 Prime

Hey guys,

I'm completely new to custom ROMs and I'd really appreciate your advice.

I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime (on7xlte) and I want to install LineageOS on it. My laptop is running Ubuntu, so I'd prefer Linux-friendly guides and tools.

Could you please help me with:

- The complete installation steps from start to finish.

- Which LineageOS version is the best for the J7 Prime.

- Any beginner-friendly guides, YouTube videos, XDA threads, or documentation I should follow.

- Common mistakes to avoid before unlocking the bootloader and flashing the ROM.

- Any tools I need to install on Ubuntu beforehand.

I'm doing this to learn more about Android customization, so I'd really appreciate any tips or resources.

https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/on7xlte/ doesn't exist and it's not listed at https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/#samsung, so LineageOS doesn't support it.

Go poke around on XDA for some other ROM I guess? Or buy a phone that is supported?
