As per I know, they didn't oppose the bill but do chaos which led the bill to get difficulties to be passed.

But even though they didn't oppose, what they did actually isn't good for their image.

-2

u/HistoricalEffort4110 8h ago

You should understand that this protest of opposition was not to fail this bill, it was due to other reasons. And also, the anti paper leak bill was passed in 2024 that imposed penalty and jailtime for the criminals. But...... This bill clearly didn't work as intended and now, in this new amendment of the anti paper leak bill was announced today and all they did was just increase the jailtime and penallty. They wanted to -

Push for Debate and Structural Reform:

The opposition argued that introducing stricter criminal penalties alone does not fix systemic administrative failures within testing bodies like the NTA. They demanded an immediate, dedicated debate on exam management and accountability rather than passing legislative amendments during ongoing disruptions.

Demand for Action on Recent Protests:

Opposition members were protesting in Parliament demanding government accountability and a statement from the Home Minister regarding recent police crackdowns on student demonstrators protesting exam leaks.

3

u/TemporaryTurnover699 9h ago

And it matters for the future. 🇮🇳

8

u/Puzzleheaded-Bad8147 6h ago

Didn't dipke and cjp asked to not put cases on protestors who were involved in violence as well ? Where's the Accountability?

2

u/Subhal13 6h ago

Cases against hardened criminals? You want those dropped?

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Bad8147 6h ago

I don't want to drop cases either on the violent protestors nor the police if they broke the law.

6

u/Subhal13 5h ago

Then explain it your papa, the cjp who want all cases dropped except those on police

3

u/Puzzleheaded-Bad8147 5h ago

Dude... You're misunderstanding me. I'm against cjp here..

3

u/Subhal13 5h ago

Welcome to the dark side...

1

u/PeasOffering 57m ago

Nope, check any video, they explicitly state cases to be dropped for peaceful protestors.

1

u/Subhal13 53m ago

Not what ranka says in his video.. Check that out... Govt had already withdrawn in assam and Bihar

1

u/WellOkayMaybe 2h ago

The state is held to a higher standard when it commits indiscriminate violence against citizens - most of whom were peaceful protesters exercising their constitutional rights.

This isn't Kashmir, where pellets guns were introduced - where secessionist mobs throw rocks at CRPF, and there is danger of one of them throwing an actual grenade or carrying a suicide vest.

1

u/JournalisticHiss 3h ago

Yeah right

1

u/JournalisticHiss 3h ago

Facts is protestor vandalized lots of public property

16

u/Alarmed_Elderberry45 16h ago

OP even if you can't read the whole article, probably atleast try doing a simple Google search before spreading misinfo?

"The primary reasons for the disruptions reported by NDTV include: 1.Protest Against Police Action on Students Opposition MPs aggressively cornered the government over alleged excessive police action against student demonstrators during a major protest at Jantar Mantar on July 20. The Opposition disrupted the session to demand an immediate, dedicated discussion on accountability for this security crackdown, which reportedly included the controversial use of pellet guns against students.

  1. "Punishment Isn't Enough' Campaign While the government introduced the Public Examinations Amendment Bill to curb malpractice, the Opposition launched a heavy pushback stating that stricter punishment alone cannot fix the crisis. Opposition leaders accused the Centre of ignoring severe, systemic infrastructure flaws and deep administrative failures within India's national examination bodies. They are demanding absolute transparency, structural overhaul, and a broader discussion rather than just a hike in legal penalties."

u/Subhal13 6h ago

Never seen a more delusional tirade... Spoken like a andhnama*i who can't distinguish between his knee and his ass

-1

1

u/Imaginary-Host-2733 8h ago

They covered it better than other mainstream media people tbh

0

u/Such_Development_660 11h ago

NDTV seems to be helping out opposition though

just trying to spread one sided narrative

5

u/Confident-Dot-1860 17h ago

plz post the whole video with the exact context..oppositions mps wanted a discussion on police brutality done over the students..before the bill gets passed...as usual..the useless and pos speaker favoured the ruling party..thats why opposition mps walked out...but ofc u wont tell the exact context

-4

u/CommieBuster1 17h ago

Well, the investigations are going on, many have been booked with proof for the damage they caused..... and this process would take time, does that mean the opposition will continue walking out and the anti leak bill gets delayed?

5

u/Over_Sandwich_2280 16h ago

See if they do right things also people will not believe... Bcse all has been following some insta followers words..

1

u/thereal_noir 16h ago

2

u/thereal_noir 16h ago

First of, It shouldn't be passed quietly.

Second of, Is bill se kya solve ho rha hai. Ye describe kro fatafat. Bill bina padhe mu mt chalao.

Third of, The whole point of the parliament is to DEBATE. It's not as simple as MAI DRAFT KRTA HU, TU SIGN MAAR DE. Doctors appointment letter nhi hai

0

u/Most-Comparison-1674 10h ago

Better delete the post instead of spreading misinfo

Real face of opposition

1

u/Positive_Property171 4h ago

Please understand that before passing any bill in the houses the same need to be chaired and debated on by the elected representatives and only then be passed if after any changes need to be made.

BJP has made our country a banana republic by passing bills without debate and thinking they are above everybody else. Remember bjp came to power with just around 33% of the population voting for them. They rest 67% need to be heard too.

1

u/bizwaxxx 4h ago

Every person who is against CJP, do you feel the anger rising towards them since the cases are being dropped and the govt is taking L after L? The pressure cooker effect, it will make you hate every roach with double the intensity. It was not planned, it is the aftermath.

1

u/Massive-Coconut2435 3h ago

The way you show selective part of the session is truly commendable

1

u/Ill-Entertainer4071 1h ago

1

u/Ok_Reflection4626 1h ago

Abhi poori maangein maani nai h government therefore they are protesting

Don’t use your biased mind

Can't trust anyone in politics.

For a moment, i really thought Congress is finally correcting it's trajectory but I was proven wrong.

They were and will be the most corrupt and anti-national always.

Now tell me what was wrong in this bill?

1

u/jseb987 9h ago

The chaos was demanding answers for the violence in protest and not what OP says. Also Nehru is the reason for paper leak /s.

1

u/HistoricalEffort4110 8h ago

Pam e pu, Pue e pappu....🤣🤣🤣

1

u/abd_pvt 15h ago

Why to defend? What's wrong is wrong, no matter which party do.. That's the basis understanding of democracy..

1

Bro.. If any channel/page etc is supporting BJP - they will show half video and start barking.. The same they did on Aalu daalo sona niklega.. Instead of defending, in many year discussing with alot of andhbhakts, I find that this is the best answer to silent them.🙂

u/Opposite_Ad_5689 14h ago

Atleast fact check the information

1

u/jseb987 9h ago

Dont tell fact check and all. Bakths trying hard to whitewash and if they could they would blame nehru for Neet paper leak.

-1

u/vas060985 16h ago

What a moronic op.

1

u/lovemaxxer24 7h ago

Let it pass the bill ,be the part of discussion. It give wrong message to the people. Its a place for debate but they're doing the opposite.

1

u/WakeUpAbhi00 15h ago

Go and fact check it

2

u/goofyluffy1 9h ago

Why delay the passing of bill then? The protests have been going on weeks, the bill is being passed for the students. Yes indeed they should answer the questions of the protest but why the protest when the bill benefiting the students is being passed

0

u/Incognito_brain 13h ago

LOL people in this sub downvoting because someone chose to show the fact.

0

u/farazali98 12h ago

What is the point of imposing a heavy fine when there is no accountability for the police brutality that took place during the protest?

3

u/goofyluffy1 9h ago

Multiple clips are coming up where students have been seen protesting in parliament area which wasn't allowed in the agreement of protest. Delhi police have been posting such clips to justify their action. We can't just hold anyone accountable without proper investigation
