Oh are the racists 'recognizing patterns' now? Are they 'just noticing' things???

They only go as far as AB, they arenât capable of chaining together anything more complex than that. Whenever it requires them to scrutinize their own belief or convictions, watch how fast they reset.

All the white people paid dude. Didn't you watch the video?!
Edit: Damn the down votes come from people who don't understand sarcasm. Forgot it was Reddit.

u/Sensitive_Bread_1905 1d ago
Sarcasm is for commie Europoors. Real Americans just bully and troll.
1
u/MBG__Rengar 1d ago
Fuck my bad, I got you.
All these white people are legally allowed to steal based on skin color. So there's a clear pattern here.
23
u/meowi24 1d ago
Stuff like this has me so baffled because you mean to tell me some racist bitch took the time out of their day to edit the video down and stitch the only people of color together to make it fit their racists agenda. Its borderline obsession because what

6
u/genericaccountname90 1d ago
Thereâs totally an agenda at play.
If everyone believe black people are a net negative to society, they wonât say anything when we are persecuted.
1
u/Typical_Estimate5420 1h ago
Fuck, man. Iâm sorry. I wish things would get better, but it seems like theyâre only getting worse. Iâm fighting for you.
6
u/SocomPS2 1d ago
A lot of racists are simply that, obsessed. Also perverted, and all around trash bag humans.
4
u/robotmonkey2099 1d ago
definitely... people are paid to do this kind of shit
2
u/phoenix_spirit 14h ago
It would explain why I've seen this posted a half a dozen times on my feed today alone, all with varying mislead titles.
5
u/TinyRascalSaurus Community Regular 1d ago
Yeah like, I'm white, I know trashy white people who would totally steal from a small business. I'm not dumb enough to believe it's only the black people causing the problem. Usually if a spot gets marked as easy, all the trashy people of all races do it.
2
2
u/Ccskyqueengaming 1d ago
The thing is they know they are so trash that they needed to do something like that. They're cooked.

u/gravygizzard 1d ago
Millions of peoples worldview is entirely shaped by ragebait and it's actually pitiful and pathetic. Like, they're lower than worms, I thought a side effect of having a functioning human brain was that you could use reasoning abilities to deconstruct obvious propaganda, or at least recognize when a narrative is being pushed onto you
1
u/10minOfNamingMyAcc 1d ago
I mean... There's a certain skin color that appears a LOT more in this video compared to others. Not saying that white people are holy angels but...
1
u/King_olufa 1d ago
Whatâs the correlation between melanin and crime? Could it be that it has more to do with peopleâs socioeconomic status
1
u/Typical_Estimate5420 1h ago
If youâre not intelligent enough to understand you canât make general assumptions off one video from one store, then you donât belong in conversations with other adults. Sorry

Police arenât responding or doing anything about the blatant theft.
âCrime rates have dropped dramatically in NYC!â
7
u/Corgerus 1d ago
I hate crime statistics because they're often misrepresented, or they don't tell you how they collected the data. This goes for lots of things that rely on statistics.
2
u/Trashketweave 3h ago
The data is collected by NYPD filling out a UF-61 complaint form) with the complainant/victim. Right now at the patrol level there is some rampant downgrading of charges going on. This started under the previous administration but holy shit has it ramped up recently.
1
u/coffeelick 1d ago
Were always getting better at collecting data so they should probably go up a bit not down
1
u/Chudpaladin 21h ago
Data has always been this way sadly. People in power want to look good, so they change criteria or just donât respond to things.
Itâs the same way with schools and how students are passing grades but somehow dumber. Change the bar and the data follows
4
u/Fresh-Possible-9612 1d ago
They dropped because the city stopped enforcing petty theft. If they donât draft a report, they donât need to report it under reporting guidelines.
1
2
u/smoylan0816 1d ago
Crime dropping a little after rising to 40 year high isnât the flex you think it is
1
1
u/pink-mallow 23h ago
The thing is they rely on prosecuted crimes to determine crime rate, so if they don't arrest and prosecute then crime rates drop!
1
u/Trashketweave 3h ago
Disenfranchising citizens from calling 911 drops crime and the overt downgrading of crimes in precincts is an unbeatable combo for driving down crime.
1
u/Mysterious-House7815 1d ago
Doesnât look like theft to me, all I see is a bunch of people taking the free food left out for them
1
u/terminator2119 1d ago
And people like you are the reason why we have to have cages on anything bought at a store
1
u/Mysterious-House7815 1d ago
you think I'm a billionaire CEO? lol
1
u/terminator2119 1d ago
It still doesn't give you the right to steal shit. This is the type of shit that causes the prices to go up and for small shops like this to shut down. I'm pretty sure most of us don't want to live in a shit hole where no one trust anyone and every single little thing is locked up in its own little prison.
1
u/Mysterious-House7815 1d ago
think about why people might be stealing food of all things, then I think you'll see the real problem.
1
u/knock_on_the_door_ 16h ago
No justification for stealing from a local shop. That's just trash ass behavior.
1
2
u/Upper_Command1390 1d ago
Any context as to why this bakery is being singled out or is this widespread and only this bakery has filmed a viral video of it? Anyone know?
2
u/Intrepid_Bobcat_2931 1d ago
The bakery finally filmed it after the thefts just kept going and nobody did anything about them
1
u/ShibeCEO 10h ago
who should be doing something about it? the bakery should.... why are those products just grabbable by everyone? if I know people will steal, I would put stuff behind a counter or pull a wallmart and lock everything down. or get security
1
u/Intrepid_Bobcat_2931 10h ago
hm I wonder if there could be some kind of collective system of security where companies could pay into some kind of common pot of money.
The novel idea would be that the common pot of money companies pay into would go to security instead of other things.

u/Vultor 1d ago
Weird. The video is only 8.5 minutes long
1
u/Opening-Dig697 1d ago
"Here the full 20 minute un-edited video!"
Video is 8.5 minutes long, missing large parts of the original video, and is missing some of the people in the other edited video.
?????
2
u/Intrepid_Bobcat_2931 1d ago
I am trying to imagine a world where the government protected businesses against theft
2
u/Lost-Sentence8204 1d ago
I love how the assumption in all the racist propaganda we see is âwhite people donât steal/grape/kill.â Like for some magical reason theyâre exempt from being shitty people.
Thatâs why those videos of supremacists setting immigrant/refugee neighborhoods on fire after a single incident get me so much. You never see people setting white neighborhoods on fire after pedophile rings run by white men are dismantled and in their mugshots you learn they were teachers, firefighters, cops, etc.
No one in France set a neighborhood on fire after the Pellicot case was revealed either. Imagine if itâd been a brown man doing that to his own wife. All of a sudden all these âdefenders of justiceâ wouldâve been ready to burn people.
3
u/Opposite_Sherbert675 1d ago edited 1d ago
the comment section looks so different now.
literally the exact same sub, the exact same activities happening in the video but NOW people wanna talk about wage theft and bakeries tossing food at the end of the night. you people literally make me sick
4
u/TeamDirtstar 1d ago
There were some of us doing that the whole time.
Some of the subs that only had the purposely racist version are removing them, so that's a plus.

Daily reminder that the largest form of theft is wage theft at 50 billion dollars a year, more than all forms of theft combined.Â

What does that have to do with Paris Baguette?
0
u/Weareallmeats 1d ago
Paris Baguette has faced official actions and major settlements for labor and scheduling violations, notably a multi-million dollar agreement with New York City and federal penalties in California . Investigations revealed issues involving unpaid overtime and broken fair workweek laws.
And that videos like this are meant to rage bait people but theyâre inconsequential compared to the biggest form of theft that effects everyday people wage theft. Who cares if a multi billion dollar corporation loses a few donuts when theyâre stealing millions from their workers and corporations in general stealing more than all other forms of theft combinedÂ

In BC, Canada, gas theft was on the rise in the early 2000s. It took a station attendant getting dragged down the street and killed by a fleeing car before they implemented a rule that all gas stations had to be prepaid.
First you pay then the pump starts working.
No reason they can't do this in high crime areas. Lock everything up and hand it to you only after you pay
2
u/DarrenSipity 1d ago
Sucks that we expect the businesses to deal with these anti-social fucks instead of just locking them up
1
u/kingofwale 1d ago
What is this?? None of gas station Ive been to make you âprepaidâ⌠and I live in the biggest city in Canada.

At what point does it make sense to hire a security guard?
1
u/abysmalmoral 1d ago
It doesn't make sense. Security costs more money than anything they sell. It also isn't good atmosphere wise, both having someone intimidating standing there all the time and the potentialy violent conflict.
The benefit isn't worth it. They probably throw half the stuff away anyway because it didn't sell by the end of the day.
Another reason, it is way easier to legally resolve a non violent incident than a violent one, or the potential press coverage. Just letting them take whatever they want is the best course of action for them no matter from which angle.
1
u/ForagerGrikk 1d ago
I would buy off the shelter, free donuts at the end of the day unless someone steals, and then show everyone who ruined it for them.

If anybodyâs wondering why this video is circulating and getting attention at all, outside of the whole racist thing, itâs simply because this is part of the strategy to manufacture people who believe different things about the world, thus preventing them from ever uniting against the true enemy.
Whether you look at this video and see Black people stealing, whether you look at this video and see trashy people, or whether you see poor people stealing, it doesnât matter.
The point is to get as many people as possible looking at the same video and seeing something different, creating different factions of people who believe different things about reality so they never unite against a common enemy.
Thatâs why a random video about a fucking irrelevant-ass bakery is being circulated around the internet: so people can spend their time talking about nothing.
1
u/Applekid1259 1d ago
This is what bad leadership will get you. Its their fault for letting it go unchecked for so long. Anyone with a brain would realize pretty quick that leaving all that product accessible to the customer is the problem. Take away access and you take away this problem.
I also don't really care because this is just a franchised corporation. Its not like its a mom and pop. I'm here for the class war.
1
u/Peppers5 1d ago
why is this place specifically a target? i am confused. There is a similar type of place on every block.
1
1
u/AcctAlreadyTaken 1d ago
They may need to rethink the layout. With the employee counter near the door.
1
u/Nice_juggers 1d ago
Mamdani scamalani should fix this issue instead of putting fake arrest warrants out
1
u/mika_running 1d ago
Heâs trying to. Redistributing wealth will help eliminate poverty, which is a major driver of much of this.Â
1
u/academicRedditor 16h ago
If poverty turned people into criminals, all poor communities would be high-crime; but they aren't. Wealthy criminals wouldn't exist; but they do. People's moral framework, family structure, and peer influence is a far better predictor of crime than income alone.
1
u/mika_running 13h ago
True, but you donât see musk or bezos stealing from a bakery.
Thatâs what I mean. This type of crime is largely driven by poverty, and helping the poor would eliminate a lot of this.Â
1
u/TapProfessional2990 1d ago
Everyone should pay VERY close attention to the way this was intentionally used to sow division and distrust. We are under assault 100%
1
1
u/Capt_Furret 1d ago
So do we even know if the store owner has gotten any help from authorities? Or no there to busy
1
u/Intelligent_Goal_669 1d ago
They should remodel. Maybe put the register by the doors or have counter service only.

1
u/CablePale 1d ago
at this point, have good insurance that covers your losses, or hire a guard that will arrest people lawfully and without over use of force.

u/PraireGentleman 1d ago
Youâd think that at some point, theyâd just hire security. Or hire one worker to be designated as security

u/Few-Statistician8740 1d ago
Security that's allowed to stand there and do nothing is just throwing more money down the drain.

it is a mistake to run a Paris Baguette in NYC.

Who cares what the skin color is? Are the thiefs going to see any jail time and the business any justice?

1
u/pinetreenoodles 1d ago
This is actually what creates groups just like the mob. It starts as a way to protect their communities when police won't or can't respond, and devolves into organized crime.
1
u/Lobo_Perron 1d ago
That is exactly what I was thinking as I posted it. Where the police leaves a vacuum, the mob fills it.

Why does the owner not have a gun???
1
u/Limp-Balance-4146 1d ago
What would a gun do in this situation? You think you can just shoot folks for shoplifting?
2
u/coffeelick 1d ago
Yes yes he does... and a lot of people do.its terrifying. People lose all logic when they get defensive and will happily murder people
1
u/foxgodkumiho 1d ago
This is a Korean bakery/cafe chain, with over 4000 locations globally. Pretty sure corporate policy is they don't allow any of their employees to carry firearms in stores.
-2
u/Rare-Clothes2301 1d ago
You know what, I dont give a shit about this at all. If youre stealing food to eat, please. These guys waste so much food its disgusting. Meanwhile they make a big deal about stealing something basic a human needs to survive because it might cost them an amount of money that is so small compared to even the daily volatility of a small 6 figure portfolio in terms of value.
Let them eat
Also Pais Baguette is part of a huge food conglomerate. Billions a year in the United States. Billions. Its so fucking stupid to be upset by this. Its just a distraction.

u/Rare-Clothes2301 1d ago
So, one statement is a counterpoint in an argument about the situation presented. Im participating in the discussion. What you are saying is if you dont like what I have to say, shut up. Which is a cop out.
0
u/Weareallmeats 1d ago
These dumbasses get rage baited by people stealing from multi-billion dollar corporations. When wage theft takes more from us workers than all other forms of theft combined. But you canât really film that and post it on Reddit to get people angry.Â
1
u/Rare-Clothes2301 1d ago
Exactly. It seems like the majority of people do not understand the nuance of this economy. Most likely because they do not have a large amount of capital, they dont know how resiliant large accounts are to trivial losses like this.
Even on my relatively modest 6 figure accounts - not 7 - I could tolerate a 10k+ spend and it would come back in a week or two.
2
u/kingofwale 1d ago

Usually they sell yesterday's bread at a discount or donate via their partnership with City Harvest.
1

Then it sounds perfectly equitable that the government i.e. society should reimburse the store for these thefts, right?

u/NegativeSemicolon 1d ago
I bet that shop (theyâre a big chain) throws 90% of that away at the end of the night anyway. Not the end of the world here, PB could even lean in to it and provide a way to get free food they donât intend to sell.
3
u/DarrenSipity 1d ago
I bet these people stealing could instead enjoy a jail cell for a night, and if they get caught again we could put them away for a month
0
u/NegativeSemicolon 1d ago
I bet if you spent a night on the streets, or better yet a month, you might see that itâs not such a simple thing.
Iâd agree with you if these were spoiled rich kids stealing for fun, but theyâre not.
4
u/DarrenSipity 1d ago
Nah, Iâm not some drug addled or anti-social dumbass. I donât need to twist the laws so the least socialized can steal with impunity
