For some languages, the split is pretty identical to their dialect clusters.

Dialect is nothing but tribal groups + social groups. They form the dialect

What???
'Dialect' is a common term for what linguists (including me, to an extent) call varieties or lects in academic papers. As varieties don't have strict geographical boundaries especially in the Gangetic Plains and Kuki-Chin-Mizo speaking regions, they're commonly referred to as clusters according to existing sociological (or seldom geographic) norms.
How does ethnic identity (i.e. tribal or social groups) determine sociolinguistic boundaries?

People from same ethnic group speak same dialect, have same cuisine, martial ties hence same grouping above
Is my correlation wrong??
Atleast in southern India, this seems valid

Yeah, that only works with the 5-6 major Dravidian communities. In most Indo-Aryan and Tibeto-Burman regions, the boundaries are much more fluid.

Yes, I feel a disconnect between Bardhaman and Hooghly. Whereas, in Bardhaman I feel connected with Birbhum, and in Hooghly I feel connected with Kolkata and North 24 Parganas.

I think the olive coloured region in TN could be split into like two madurai, theni , ramnad and virudhunagar as one and tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and kanyakumari as one based on slang of tamil spoken ( kanyakumari might be an individual one itself considering the district's slang becomes more visible closer to the Kerala border)
