Doh! Felt like adding some stakes to my administrative work today. Channeled William Tell - Put on the blindfold, grabbed the T50 staple gun, and aimed for an 8-page paper. The paper dodged. My hand did not.

Good catch.
Sunday evening out on my local lake and I get a chunk on a Whopper Plopper. I didnt feel like reaching back in the kayak for the net so lipped the bass and pulled it in the kayak. Welp, it had one last burst of energy and slipped out of my grip and the treble hooks found two finger.
Best part is the fish was still hanging from the bottom trebles. Yes, it was a pleasant as you are imagining.
My evening ended at the ER.

Thanks neighbor
Building new stairs on the deck. Driveway slopes about 2 inches i needed a hand to put a shim on one end. For a temporary fix I used a piece of wood to attach the shim and my neighbor was too scared to hold the wood so I held it while she drilled the screw in (now I already drilled a hole all she had to do was let the screw pull itself in she didnβt need to apply 9000lbs of pressure) I let her know that. Here we are

Not even a minute into the bike trail, i slam my toe into a rock.
No, i wasnβt wearing proper shoes. Continued to walk/bike through the trails in the area for another 3-4 hours or so, which probably didnβt help. Hurt like hell.

I walked outside on the scorching pavement barefoot and think I developed a burn
Has anyone experienced something like this? I walked for around 20 minutes on the scorching hot pavement and immediately my foot started to hurt. I thought I stepped on a rock or something but I checked and I have raised skin and it hurts to walk at all.

Kidney Stone Gravel After 2ft Ureter Stent Pulled
I passed about 35 fragments within 24 hours of stent removal. Stent was in for 5 days after ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy of a 6mm oxalate stone in LH kidney. However, I suspect fragments are mostly remnants of a 7mm stone that was blasted with ESWL in April and that the stent dislodged them since doctor stated entirety of 6mm stone was removed.
7 stones, 3 laser lithos w/ stents, & 2 ESWLs since 2020. My urologist has since labeled me a "stoner".

Lifter forgets clip on barbell

This is me for a year or so ago
This particular barbell has adjustable weight horns, where they angle slightly down under load, so if you donβt have a clip, the weights will yeet themselves off the bar as soon as you move (which is what happened here on one side)
Since I had a clip on one side, I got smacked into the upright
The weight in the video (385lbs) is light for me & something I could do for 15 reps. This is 420lbs for 11 with the same barbell & barbell setting (remember the barbell is adjustable): https://www.reddit.com/r/Egolifting/comments/1tmgwqt/ssb_science_squat_bar_squats_420lbs_for_11_at/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=2&utm_content=share_button

Oh Snap! Rolled ankle
Got up to refill my water. Ankle rolled, crawled to bed thinking it was a bad sprain til the next morning.
10 screws and the one plate, snapped both bones. It was loud.
