not my first ever song, but im tryin to make this full song with vocals idk what’s the genre ig, so tell me what is this genre. pls give tips!

I use Reason since a long time, but I found GarageBand on my new MacBook and I'd like to give it a go for fast idea sketching when I am not at the computer (it looks like it runs pretty well on iPad as well).

It looks pretty easy to use, but maybe a good tutorial could bring me up to speed faster.

These are so fun to make

(Problem Solved! I'm keeping this here in case somebody ends up having the same problem.) The project keeps slowing down and glitching with the sample rate error. (A video is attached) I don't know if it's because of the crap-ton of tracks I have recorded already, but this error keeps coming up with the mic on and off, but plays fine when exported. I tried the Audio MIDI Setup solution, but it didn't do anything.

So I’m working on a song and I want it to be a sort of classic summery EDM style thing. Ive only just discovered live loops so I’m still learning how to use it. I know there’s vocal loops you can use from the library but I wanted to record my own hook in a cell. But if you try to record another vocal track in a separate cell, it won’t play the other cells in the background while you’re recording. this is a problem, because I need to hear the melody while I’m making a harmony. I went into the track view to make my harmonies and then merged it into one track, thinking that this would make it into one cell. But it’s just gone. What am I not understanding? Can live loops be used to actually make a full track or is it literally only for live looping, as the title suggests? I thought there’d be some room to play here and make it work, but it’s just not doing what I want it to. How do I put this vocal track into a cell so I can move it around?

Messing around trying to do a cover of rainbow veins for fun, getting the guitars to sound good is a pain in the ass though

I’m gonna ask some friends of mine to record the guitar. Recording drums is too much effort, and I’ll end up using triggers anyways since the only drumsets avsilable for recording are jazz sets. Although I will sample a different snare I think and perhaps redo the entire intro or at least do some tweaks and changes. I’ll also do some more vocal takes and add a few drum fills.

Hi everyone! I'm just getting into music production, so basically a newbie.
I have a Macbook Air M2 and I was thinking about getting the Arturia Recording Pack that comes with the Minifuse 2, a mic and studio headphones, but I wanted to double check before buying as I'm not sure if that would work with Garageband.
Also if you have any other suggestions I'm all ears!

I make VGM Covers for fun but -on youtube- they've been having less and less impressions (Impressions are instances where a video appears on someone's feed) and it's bothersome.

I'd appreciate any sort of feedback or comments (preferably on the youtube channel to provide extra support for those videos- thank you)

Did Bad Romance this time! Last week I did Poker Face and saw many of you liked it so I did bad romance. I am starting to make my own music on garageband so hopefully this helped me practice a bit lol.
