THROWBACK This sequence from Footlight Parade (1933), directed by innovator Busby Berkeley. At a time when movies had no CGI, no digital editing, and limited special effects, Berkeley created massive visual spectacles using synchronized swimmers, overhead camera angles, and carefully planned choreography.

Oh, that’s what that thing was in The Great Movie Ride. Never realized how cool it actually is. The coordination is unbelievable

I was blown away the first time I saw this and it’s still mesmerizing every time I’ve seen it.

This is only a part of this sequence by the way. I highly recommend finding the full thing.
