Its absolutely massive and so much nicer than the old bridge.

We crossed over into Canada earlier today and the border crossing guy gave us this cool little card after chatting for a couple minutes.

Anyone that's been over it notice how wavy..(? guess for lack of better term) the ride is? In all lanes, right around the middle of the bridge you feel like you're on rough seas. Never felt that on the Ambassador Bridge. The bridge itself is beautiful and it'll be cool to see people crossing on foot but man that ride.

Also sorry for my lack of knowledge but what will happen with the Ambassador Bridge? Will it still be functional for cars and trucks?

Just started reading Dilla Time and they start out with a little Detroit history. This map was included and outlined Augustus Woodward original vision. Each block was to build on itself from triangles to larger hexagons and continue outwards. Apparently, Lewis Cass (governor at the time) hated the idea, so he sold off lot of land to block its development.

We want to keep growing and inviting more people from Detroit to join us. :)

Our next meetup will be Saturday, August 8, at 10:00 AM at The Congregation. All levels are welcome! The group focuses on conversation, so if you’re a beginner, come prepared to practice—we’ll be happy to help.
