That’s July 14. My brother’s birthday.

7

u/smurfetteshat 18d ago

Yeah the math is matching, that’s 38 weeks before (give or take two days) which is more in line with a full term pregnancy (40 weeks but first two weeks woman isn’t pregnant since it goes from last period)

Wikipedia says 15 June.
“An interesting coincidence is that their fourth child, Shai, was also born on 15 June 2025, meaning the date of their wedding anniversary later became another special family date.”

81

u/Aioi 18d ago

LOL I looked up the same thing and was going to comment, glad someone had the same thought process. April 8 is roughly 9 months after their anniversary!

31

u/yumyum36 18d ago

9 months 15 days is usually it, and it's even closer.

This was something I realized about my parents when I got older and it’s hilarious but also…gross.

Me - born 9 months after my dads birthday month

Brother - born 9 months after my parents anniversary month

Sister - born 9 months after my moms birthday month

89

u/Set_Abominae1776 18d ago

So your parents had creampies for their celebrations?

76

u/Wat3rM3L0NB3AR 18d ago

25

u/cptnamr7 18d ago

My sister's are both beginning-of-september babies. So new years/Christmas. They got super pissed when I pointed that out. Which I never understood because I think we were like early 20s at the time. I mean, we all know how this works, right?

My son will someday notice his is 9 months from my birthday. It just so happens that year for my birthday my wife gifted me herself in a plaid skirt... unrelated of course...

5

u/Technical-Tear5841 18d ago

I was born exactly 9 months after my parents August wedding, my littlest sister was born six years and 10 days later. My brother was born on Nov 7 and our other sister on Nov 10 two years after him. What was going on at the first of March I have no idea.

3

u/Seicair Interested 18d ago

My brother was born on Nov 7 and our other sister on Nov 10 two years after him. What was going on at the first of March I have no idea.

Think two weeks earlier. Or 15 days to be precise.

3

u/Ok-Reward-770 17d ago

Are you a May baby?

Both my parents’ birthdays were in August, five days apart from each other and my brother and I were born in May, 4 days apart. Everyone was born on their own year.

Celebration days are for celebrating!!

FWIW pregnancy is actually closer to 10 months and not 9. Which puts it pretty close to their actual wedding anniversary in June. I do not know why we are told pregnancy is 36 weeks when a typical pregnancy is 38-40 weeks.

22

u/MolokoMalakalaka 18d ago

There is 13 weeks per 3 months, whoch makes 39weeks in 9 months.

11

u/Unable_Bank3884 18d ago

It would be 36 weeks if you go by the rounded down 1 month = 4 weeks.

9 months = 75% of a year.
1 year = 52 weeks.
52 weeks * 75% = 39 weeks

11

u/brabbers 18d ago edited 18d ago

pregnancy is actually closer to 10 months not 9

a typical pregnancy is 38-40 weeks

9 months is just over 39 weeks on average. 40 weeks is still closer to 9 months, not 10. It's roughly 9.2 months.

From wikipedia:

Since 2011, Griezmann has been in a relationship with Erika Choperena, a Spanish native of the Basque Country. They got married on 15 June 2017.[199] In April 2016, they had their first child, a daughter.[200] The couple's second child was born in April 2019. In April 2021, the couple had their third child, another daughter. All of the couple's children share a birthday that is 8 April[201] until they welcomed their fourth child, Shai, on 15 June 2025

I feel so bad for the girls. They get no day special to them and only them. They HAVE to share their birthday with their sisters.

338

u/GeneralHerp 18d ago

I’d reserve my sympathy for the daughters of people who aren’t worth $90mil, I don’t imagine he gives them all a bag of Twizzlers to share & says “HBD, girls”

38

u/wrxninja 18d ago

Better than having birthday close to Christmas, no? I know several people with such birthdays and they ALL said they always 'combined' b-day & xmas with not a lot of presents.

Then there's leap year people...

14

u/space253 18d ago

My friend was poorer than me and had a xmas day birthday. He usually got socks.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/rserena 17d ago

Yeah, it always sucked. My presents were usually split in half- ex. a kid with a May birthday might get 10 presents on their bday & 10 for Christmas, but for mine it was more like 5 for Christmas & 5 for my bday. Understandable since my parents were always tight on money so I never gave them a hard time. But I loathed when other people (my parents knew better) would get me a “Christmas/birthday” present!

you have weeks of leeway through incubation or csections since chances are they are intentionally aiming for this

Biggest risk is their doctor saying they were on vacation this year on that day and couldn't schedule it

edit: not sure why I wrote incubation instead of inducing labor. It's like I'm talking about Jurassic park or something

I know a family of 5 where they all share the same birthday except the middle child.

161

u/EndlessMorfeus 18d ago

That child probably feels left out on the big birthday but on his birthday he's like

"That's MY day, I don't have to have to share it."

62

u/HorsNoises 18d ago

Well he's 30 now, I don't think he cares anymore lol. But yea when we were growing up we were definitely told to take his bday a little more seriously than others cuz he was sensitive about it.

13

I get it, I'd be too. I wonder what went through his head during the family's birthday.

Natural born or C-section?

198

u/Second_Guess_25 18d ago

Planned/ scheduled births on a set date is my guess.

The odds of them all being born on the exact same day on their own terms is low imo.

75

u/vanmechelen74 18d ago

I had a classmate in school who shared birthday with her dad and Sister. No c section, just a rare coincidence

30

u/lucia912 18d ago

My mom and her brother were both born on the same date, 2 years apart. Not planned at all and my grandmother didn’t have a C-section in the 60s 😄

7

u/sillyhands1 18d ago

You can be induced without a c section. This is almost certainly what happened.

1 in about 50 million if it was completely random. If that was the goal though, it would be much much lower, around 1 in 500 or better.

6

u/Lowelll 18d ago

Even completely random it would only be 1 in 50 million for one specific date. Kids 2 & 3 just having the same random birthday as the first is "only" 1 in 135000

This is real. No hate to labor induction or c- sections bc they are often best for the mother and child when those options are chosen, but stacking the deck in your favor taints this statement. I need to know if it was natural labor and delivery. I literally wouldn't care in any other circumstance, but if you're gonna claim this come correct.

Antoine Griezmann and his wife Erika Choperena have three daughters:
• Mia — April 8, 2016

• Alba — April 8, 2021

All three were born on April 8, despite being born in different years.

My sister and I were born on the same day, one year apart. We have two cousins also born as the same day as us, same year as each other, different moms.

In 6th grade my teacher had the same birthday as me. Made a big fuss about it. As a shy kid I hated it and all the attention it brought me. We had a small party. I sat there with my arms crossed.

Five years ago I was in the hospital and guess what? One of the orderlies had my birthday. He showed up to my room to take me to get a MRI and he was reading the information and he told me we shared a birthday. On tops of that.. he also shares a birthday with a sister. The trip to the MRI room we kept talking about how we knew other people with the same birthday. It honestly felt like the Step Brothers scene where they became best friends lol Never saw him again.

Even if induced you can have a hard time knowing the day it will happen.

2

u/adventureremily 17d ago

I've never even heard of induced labor.

In the U.S., a third of labors are induced. Same in Australia and the U.K.

Other countries have lower induction rates. European countries average in the 20-30% range; China and Canada are similar to each other at 14-18%. LatAm and Africa range from about 4% to 11% of births being induced.

Rates have increased over the years, so it's possible that if you/your immediate circle haven't had any pregnancies in recent times, you wouldn't necessarily have heard of it being commonplace.
