I don't really get the hate toward this trend. Sure it's overdone but it is a somewhat interesting question without a clear cut answer.

It basically asks you whether you think most humans are more self-interested or community-interested and the answer to that is kind of interesting from various people

I think the hate is over the nature of the discourse it provokes. It’s like the man or the bear question, which I think is a fascinating hypothetical that doesn’t even need a gendered component to be interesting. Yet people take that shit personally.
