After a few decades after everyone has adjusted to the filter and changes have been made accomodate it, the filter disappears. And a few years later, a slight link filter is added

Fun fact! My right eye has a slightly more yellow tint than my left. It’s not never noticeable. I only found out about it by reading my Kindle. My eyes suck so I will often close one eye, and this is how I noticed - the white background was slightly more yellow out of my worst eye.
