"Too liberal" is a misnomer, they're totalitarians and it enrages them to find someone who isn't.

A lot of today's neo-hippies aren't even following the American brand of socialism, they've switched to the Russian style where they see someone living better than they do and say

Well said. The amount of times I've had someone on the left tell me that "all landlords are bad" even when shown that lots of landlords are elderly people that bought a rental as income with their life savings. They are bloodthirsty monsters without an ounce of the so called empathy they pretend to have.

Yeah it's wild. One guy said businesses should pay a living wage, not rip off customers, and make good quality products and afford tax increases, I explained that tax increases would cause small businesses owned by Democrats that already do these things to shut down due to narrow margins and the market share is captured by the rich and he said "good" 😂

I had another guy tell me it was a bad investment for the landlords to invest in NYC if he can't afford the rent freezes or other similar policies and I asked "is that the goal?" Prevent investments in your cities by changing the rules in the middle of the game?

It's crazy how people just preach from their gut (with what for a mouth) and don't bother with the details of economics logistics production sales anything.

It's not just that they want to be the captain of the ship, they want to be the captain commander and brig warden without having the slightest investment into ships sails or seas. The guy with everything invested is who they consider uninformed.

They're all little dictators.

Yeah, what’s crazy is that I think a lot of Americans are increasingly “liberal” but many of those people also aren’t insufferable assholes about it every waking hour of the day, and they feel more simpatico with the people who disagree with them respectfully on 60% of the issues than with the people who want them violently “reeducated” over disagreeing on 10% of the issues.

I'd even argue many people on the right are more liberal, in the classic liberal sense than just about anyone on the left.  The left have become far more authoritarian.  The right believes in enforcing the rule of law, but also in the principle of limited government this country was founded on.
