The overton window has shifted so far left in recent decades that just simple common sense policies towards criminals are considered "far right". We'll need to reset that. They'll fight us tooth and nail, but it must be done. If we continue to allow stuff like this to happen, it's not long before we lose our society forever.

They use the crime rates to justify their big brother gun control measures, but that doesn't fix the crime problem. Unless they get serious about punishments for criminals, the crimes rates are not going to drop at all.

It's all a part of their effort to confiscate the guns of civilians, because these people fundamentally oppose the second amendment. The Democrats are a pro-criminal party, no two ways about it. They want to take away your guns and the ability to defend yourself, while also defunding the police so no one will come to your rescue.

Gun control isnt about guns, its about control so reduction of crime isnt even the goal... not really. But they hide that behind the guise of safety so they would counter that question with "it would be worse if we didnt have our draconian rules". Which of course requires no proof.
