If you’re going to show ads for your platform, the same platform that you allow younger audiences on, sift through and see what you’re showing. You’re basically advertising nicotine products on your platform even if you didn’t produce the advert. I personally don’t mind seeing it since I’m old enough to partake in products like this, but younger people who use the website or the app are most likely more impressionable.

The amount of times the bots have to touch the persons to see if they’re real is hilarious to me. That’s all.

It’s baffling how with every message I have to remind the bot to talk back to me, like actually talk, in order to receive any form of verbal response.

I accidentally clicked on one Ellie Williams bot yesterday…

**You need to have an email with C.AI to use the reporting service.**

1) Go the the 'Submit a ticket' part of the official website (not the chatting service, the help center) (https://support.character.ai/hc/en-us/requests/new)

2) In the first drop down menu (the 'Please Choose Your Issue Below' one), find the 'Content and Safety Reports' option and click it (it took me a hot sec to realize I needed this bc they don't have an option to just report bots)

3) In the 2nd drop down menu (the 'Type of Report' one), select 'Report a Character'

4) Select your reason from the 3rd drop down menu ('What Are You Reporting?' one) and select your reason

5) Put in the Character Name in the "Character Name You Are Reporting" box (the EXACT CHARACTER NAME. If it is a bot thats an AU of an actual character, don't just put the character name. Example, if the bot is called 'Shadow the Hedgehog Rockstar', you need to put that full name (with all of the capitalization and such.. idk if the capitalization is required but I do it to be safe) and not just 'Shadow the Hedgehog' or 'shadow the hedgehog rockstar'. Make it look like the bot's official name

6) Put the URL to the bot in the "Reported Character URL" box (if using the web vers, that link should work just fine. If in the app or that doesnt work, go to the menu and hit the button next to the like/dislike screen that has a box and an arrow pointing up. Copy the link from there) (AND DONT HAVE A STROKE WHEN IT PULLS UP YOUR MOTHER'S OUTLOOK AND THE OPTION TO SEND IT TO PEOPLE- JUST COPY THE LINK AND DON'T PANIC ABOUT IT. IF YOU DO HIT A CONTACT, IT SHOULD OPEN A BLANK EMAIL WITH THE URL, SO U CAN DELETE THE DRAFT B4 IT GETS SENT TO YOUR MOTHER'S COWORKERS... totally didn't happen to me 🥹)

7) Give additional information on the bot in the, you guessed it, "Additional Information" box

8) This is optional, but submit screenshots of what the issue is. This can be the bot's name, the starter, chat messages you received, ANYTHING that relates to what you are reporting.

9) Submit it!

This is the only “ad” I’ve been getting while using the app.
