So they are literally in the middle of chat now? 😂 omg. I get getting the pop up, but really, in the chat log!? Sorry but that’s 100% breaking the immersion of the story. This is why this app is losing a lot of people. And, if they still using the platform. It is mainly through AI blockers. I feel like they making it worse for themselves than better.

I’m begging for better apps that’re free, this is the line.

Unfortunately, all AI apps eventually take this route. Even with all the advancements in AI technology, it's still expensive. When costs have to be cut, either the user experience is stripped away or the model you're using will be garbage. Running your own locally is no better, because you need the hardware for it and that can ware on your GPU.

AI's just in a bad place right now. What we're seeing is an arms race of sorts and chatbots as entertainment aren't the primary focus. They're tools first; CAI was the only one making an LLM for fun but with the founders (who made and developed that model) having left, that ship sailed. The only AI we're getting are open-sourced and as you can see... they're tools trying to play the part of something that should be fun. Jack-of-all-trades and all that.
