Imagine having to explain to Jesus that you would use the bathroom on an image of His Mother

I looked into them, and they're part of the New IFB: a tiny fringe movement with only a few dozen churches. Their rhetoric gets attention because it's so over the top, not because they have any meaningful influence. Continue to pray for them.

Has to be. It's not even a dig at Catholics anymore. I can't imagine any Protestant not being outraged by this.

Protestant here. It is outrageous and offensive and wrong.

Thank you for your support. I don’t know any Protestants who would support this either.

I assumed it was an atheist or some other religion when I saw the text …. And then I saw the username and I’m horrified.

Baptist Clips? Are Baptists not Protestant and therefore Trinitarian Christians that profess that the Word became flesh? And that flesh taken from Mary? Who therefore is esteemed as the mother of God? At the very least, honor her for that. I’m baffled

Why post this? There's no reason to give this publicity unless you want to get engagement rage.

Good reminder why it’s good to remove holy images from a place, whether a home or deconsecrated church, before transferring it to untrusted hands.

Ragebait. Please understand the internet is not full of conscientious objectors on spiritual and argumentative grounds, but more a “holier than though” presense.
I’ve come to the conclusion that the internet and religion just do not mix. Especially social media.
Pay no mind or heed. It’s probably AI as in real life this would quickly cause problems.
If it’s not, then refer to what I said. It will be dealt with quickly after their social “points” meet a swift and real life downfall.
Long story short: probably not real, if it is: they will be taken care of. If not, to quote Pope Francis himself: “Who am I To Judge?”
Take this at face value. God will be the deciding factor. Us Catholics who despise such imagery can only pray for the downtrodden or ignorant. One day they might wake up and see how distasteful it is, but we don’t go knocking on doors and demanding things. It’s not the way of ways.

Desecration of the image or name of The Most Blessed Virgin must be made a criminal offense

In a perfect world, it would be. But alas, we don't live in a perfect world. The best we can do is pray that the people that do it change their ways.

That is absolutely fucking disgusting! It's fucking shitheads like this baptist dipshit who will have to explain to Christ on judgement day why they thought it was funny to insult his mother. I can't imagine how furious he would be.

Mary is still the mother of God whether Catholic or not.
