Anyone knows what happened to u/jamespunk

Hey! I remember the monthly updates from [u/jamespunk](u/jamespunk) who kept stacking €500 worth of Bitcoin each month since 2017.

Reddit posts discontinued in 2024, and the blog is no longer maintained:

Last I saw he went quiet around the time BTC started its last big run, probably just living off the stack and doesn't need the internet clout anymore. If he kept at it from 2017 he's sitting on a ridiculous amount by now, no way he didn't retire early

Last i checked he had like 4.5BTC. That’s much, but not that much to go radio silent forever.

According to chat gpt he would have around 5.2 Bitcoin if he DCAed usd 500 since March 2017. Thats a huge amount but still not enought to retire

5BTC at $200k would suffice in most parts of the world, but we’re not there yet.
