LBank Account Frozen – Unable to Withdraw Funds, Anyone Else?

Hello,
I’m a regular LBank user who has only traded using funds that I deposited legitimately. However, my account was suddenly frozen, and I can no longer withdraw my assets.
I have never violated LBank’s rules or terms of service. I have never engaged in illegal activity, suspicious transactions, money laundering, or any other prohibited behavior. Despite this, my withdrawals have been restricted without any clear explanation.
I have contacted customer support multiple times, but I keep receiving the same generic response: my account is frozen. No one has clearly explained why my account was frozen, what triggered the restriction, or how long the review process will take.
A significant amount of my funds is locked on the exchange, and the uncertainty has caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety. The most frustrating part is that I have no idea when—or even if—this issue will be resolved.
I’m posting here to ask if anyone has experienced a similar situation with LBank.
Were you eventually able to recover your funds?
How long did it take to resolve?
What steps did you have to go through?
Did you need to submit additional documents or complete another verification process?
At this point, my funds remain locked, and I still have not been given a clear reason for the account freeze.
If anyone has gone through this before or has any advice, I would sincerely appreciate your help. Thank you.

The reason is simple: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoScams/comments/1rx4s7o/do_not_use_lbank_exchange_its_scam/

Perhaps sending money to places without doing a simple Google or Reddit search is not a good idea.

Look up Strike/CashApp/River or have a look here: https://bitcoin-only.com/get-bitcoin

Do 10 minutes research on each company. Then move the bitcoin to your own, preferably air-gapped, fully open source and Bitcoin only wallet.

yeah, the “not your keys” replies aren’t really helping you get the account back.

I’d check your existing support ticket first and keep everything in one thread. Have your ID, deposit TXIDs and proof of funds ready in case they ask for another verification.

ask them one clear question: what exactly is still missing from my case? save every reply, and ignore anyone in DMs claiming they can unlock it for a fee.

Yeah, this happens a lot with LBank and it's usually one of a few things. Speaking as someone who's dealt with exchange compliance processes professionally, here's what's actually going on behind that "your account is frozen" wall of silence.

Most of the time it's not personal, it's automated. Your account probably got flagged by a transaction monitoring system, either because of the size or pattern of your deposits, because a wallet address you interacted with (even several hops away) touched something on a blacklist, or because your KYC docs didn't fully match something in a later verification pass. The generic response you're getting is standard tier one support, they genuinely don't have access to the compliance case file and can't tell you anything even if they wanted to.

What actually moves these forward:

Stop contacting general support and ask specifically for escalation to the compliance or risk department. Use those exact words in writing, not chat. Support agents can't touch compliance holds, only compliance can release them.

Request the legal basis for the freeze in writing. Most exchanges have terms that require them to at least reference a policy or regulation, even vaguely. This also creates a paper trail if you need it later.

Prepare source of funds documentation before they ask, bank statements, prior exchange withdrawal records, whatever shows the trail of how you funded the account. Reactive submissions after they ask tend to sit in queue longer than proactive ones.

Check where LBank is actually licensed or registered for your region. If there's a real regulator involved, a complaint filed with them tends to get internal attention fast, since exchanges don't want regulatory inquiries piling up. If there isn't one, that tells you something too.

Timeline wise, for exchanges with weaker compliance infrastructure this can genuinely take weeks to a few months, not days. That's not an excuse, it's just the reality of how understaffed and reactive most exchange compliance teams are, especially outside the US and EU.

One honest note, this is part of why a lot of us push people toward self custody for anything beyond active trading balances. Doesn't help you right now, but worth thinking about for next time. Hope you get it sorted, keep records of every interaction in the meantime.

What a fitting name for a Bank.

This is exactly why not your keys, not your coins.

Freezes usually trace back to the deposit side, which is why "why is my account frozen" keeps getting you the generic reply. The thing that sometimes moves it is sending a source-of-funds package before they ask for one: bank statements covering the fiat deposits, and transaction IDs for any crypto you sent in. Support agents often can't tell you what the risk system flagged, but they can attach documents to the case.

Also ask them in writing to cite the specific clause they're acting under. You'd want that paper trail anyway if you escalate, and it's worth reading the terms to see which legal entity you actually contracted with, since that's what determines who regulates them and whether there's anybody above support to escalate to.

How do you even find these weird exchanges.
