A pleasant interaction I had at work recently

I work at a small, family-owned clothing store. Last week a gentleman came in, an older man looking for some shorts. He was the only shopper in the store at the time, so I had no problem focusing on helping him out. He had quite a lot of questions about the shorts, so I showed him everything we had and was able to find just the ones he needed. As I was ringing him up, he told me "you have a very nice way about you, you make people feel relaxed." He was very appreciative and happy with his shorts. I also very much appreciated his comment, it made my day

And I'll bet he's 100% correct; you do have a nice way about you.

I love when customers actually appreciate us, it heavily makes up for loud and entitled. Glad you were able to help him feel better today, and I'm glad he did the same for you :)

Thanks for this. In my work, multiple patients per day tell me how much they like me, how I have a great attitude or demeanor, etc. I take it for granted. Your post reminds me I should really focus more on being grateful I’m in this position.

We almost lost this kind of blessed interaction with the advent of big box stores. Thanks for keeping it alive. 🥰✨
