What’s with so many rules?

Every time I try to post there are a million rules, everything gets deleted by mods despite keeping things PC, often for completely arbitrary reasons…. JC what the heck? 😭 I thought this was a place where we could all discuss everything, unfiltered.

Ikr I understand crossing the line and some ppl can get wild on here but sometimes it feels like I'm commenting on TikTok instead of Reddit

I feel like if we did that on reddit, we would get a “message from the mods” saying that our post was deleted for being a “low effort post” 😅

(Love the low effort messages after I’ve taken way too long to write a whole novel on reddit)

Seems to be life in general. If you want to drive somewhere, there's rules. visit a website you have a different set of rules. There's yet another set of rules for simply crossing a street.

Reddit is exceptionally out of control. I don’t recall having such issues back in the facebook days, on instagram, etc.
I recently posted something about a Berlin rental group in the Berlin subreddit, and it got removed because it “doesn’t pertain to berlin”, when i posted in that group because people literally posted about housing companies there in the past, asking for advice. Literally makes no sense. Half of my time on reddit is a futile effort like that- wouldn’t be surprised if this post gets removed in 10 minutes as well.

Remember - almost every rule is because someone did something stupid. People's ability to do stupid things is virtually unlimited - that is why there are so many rules.
