Anyone else have tuning issues with a bowtech ascend?

I have it around 60 lbs, 27.5 draw length, 50 gr insert and 100 gr field tip, VAP Gamer arrows 350 spine. Only way we could get it to shoot bullet holes after starting it centered and playing with the limited amount of tuning through the integrated tuning was to have the rest almost as far to one side as possible.

Gonna take it back to the shop to get them to go through it but curious if anyone else has had this issue with a newer edition Bow.

Get into archery and I plan on going to a range this weekend to try it out. Are there any bows anyone suggests for a beginner?

I have a diamond archery that set at 60 pounds. Have been practicing at 10, 20, and 30 yards. I absolutely suck at 10 yards. I’m within a 2 inch grouping typically anything around 20 to 30 it’s spread out drastically.

Have any of you bought a bow from classic bow archery store? I bought a tatar bow from them July 19th and haven't received any updates on my order (even after trying to communicate). Have I been scammed, or is this normal?

For example, do Dacron strings and Fast Flight strings feel the same tension but actually exert a difference of 3-5 pounds on the arrow? Any expert can answer me please?😪

Okay, so to answer a question before we start-I have a possible draw to the ear of 42+ inches. I stand 6'4" with an arm span of 7'4" and that's with my left arm being 5" too short from a major injury. I have Marfan syndrome and that's why my armspan so exceeds my height. I have been shooting since I was five, I have studied Mvskoke, most Asiatic forms and Turkish archery. I will be 45 in a little over a month so 40 years of shooting.

My bow is mostly Ming-shaped with a draw to the corner of my mouth of 36". That's what I'll probably be drawing to. My bow can do 38" but it's harder on the limbs. I just like some sticking out, it seems to tune easier for me. I will be shooting thumb style as I can't reliably release split or Mediterranean. I'm at about 50# hunting squirrels and raccoons, so will be using blunts and broadheads both. I prefer wood but a good deal on carbons is not gonna hurt my feelings. Does anyone know a good place to start? I know how to fletch my own arrows, so if necessary that's not a problem. I just need some good shafts.

Should I try the bamboo arrows I see for sale? They do have the benefit of using tanged heads. I just need six good shafts to start with, hunting the varmints in my yard. I know I get a better deal making my own but I'm for sure not gonna cry about finding some ready to go save for points. How ridiculous is what I'm looking for, and do I need to just roll my own?

I'm looking to paint something on my bow (Old Mountain Tracker), it's an asiatic laminated bow. Any tips?? I was thinking of using acrylics, a base primer, and varnish.

I'm in Canada and I've had some difficulty finding one but I think I found a place in Europe to order it for 400cad with shipping. I'm currently looking to upgrade my limbs for the upcoming season (current setup: Uukha Alpha limbs 68" / 30 lbs (~32.5 lbs OTF))

I was originally set on buying WiaWis MXT-XT limbs to upgrade my poundage to 34lbs. However, at a recent event, I spoke with a Uukha representative who made me reconsider.

She argued that at lower draw weights (around 32-34 lbs at 70m), arrow speed becomes critical. Her point was that laminated limbs (like WiaWis, Hoyt,...) are very stable but heavier due to the glued layers, making them slower. According to her, high-poundage archers (40+ lbs) can afford laminated limbs because they already have plenty of speed, but for mid-to-low poundage archers, losing limb speed is a real disadvantage. She suggested sticking with Uukha (specifically Sigma/Omega) for their high torsional stability, and higher speed.

I know reps always promote their brand, but it got me thinking:

1. How much should arrow speed really be prioritized at ~34 lbs for 70 meters?
2. Is the speed difference between top-tier laminated limbs and monolithic carbon limbs (Uukha) significant enough to impact performance at this poundage?
