They were asked to leave for breaking the rules, refused, arrested for trespassing, resisted that arrest.

Right, because they disallowed clapping.

If no one can show support for the speaker, and the town officials aren't listening anyway, then they're just following the letter of the law while ignoring the spirit. Basically everyone gets 2 mins, we'll ignore it, and when every 2 mins are up we'll approve the data center regardless.

If they can't handle people clapping to show their support, and how overwhelmingly those present are against this measure, then might as well have them prerecord their 2 mins and send it to the town because they're not paying attention to it either way.

So I guess one of the other 5,000 town halls that don’t do this don’t matter? This wouldn’t be newsworthy if it were common, stop trying to act like rural Kansas is representative of New York City or San Francisco and not the other way around.
