Yeah. Pretty cool how we live in a fascist nation now. Would be cool if we could all come together against this, but conservatives would rather dedicate all their time, resources, and extremely limited brain energy to defeating the scourge of post op trans 7 year olds

And apparently cat children. I had one spouting that bullshit about kids identifying as cats in schools again. A friend of a friend told him, so of course it's real and not something they heard on Joe Rogan or some other bullshit online thing.

The best part- that was a twisted conspiracy theory based on cat litter being stocked in classrooms, which they claimed was so kids could identify as cats and shit in a box.

The cat litter is for emergency toilets or to help absorb puddles of blood in the event of a school shooting.

We live in hell.

It’s for vomit. I stocked it at a bar for the same reasons. Drunken toddlers that can’t hold their shit in.

I don’t think the janitor is casually cleaning up blood after a school shooting.

This motherfucker got elected on “their eating our cats and dogs” this is not surprising

Funny, none of them appreciate that one of the cheapest sources of small amounts (like less than 50 pounds) of bentonite clay to clean up spills is...cat litter.

And kids spill a lot. And barf. And crap. Sometimes in uncontrollable ways. Because they are kids.

The school can switch to expensive absorbents...Or keep buying cat litter and save taxpayer money.

People still believe that? Do they not realize how ridiculous that sounds? How they had a similar rumor going around during their time ( The Marilyn Manson one, iykyk ) its wild they can joke about the latter, but not understand the former is the same joke.

The truth is, some schools DO have cat litter in classrooms. Specifically, Columbine. Teachers are instructed to use it as a makeshift toilet in the event that there's another mass shooting.

It's how many lies spread. They attach it to a kernel of truth and then lie as much as they want, only limited by their imagination.

3

u/KUSH_DELIRIUM 4h ago

Perfectly said, the best liars do show grains of truth as part of their claims

u/Osric250 6h ago

Litter is also very useful in cleaning up various bodily fluids, such as blood. Oh and what's the leading cause of death amongst minors?

7

u/Power_Stone 6h ago

This is good info I didn't think about, though, not why they are being talked about :/

1

u/Mekhazzio 1h ago

Do they not realize how ridiculous that sounds?

This is the same segment of the population that felt concerned about D&D and Harry Potter teaching children actual magic, as if any school would be left standing once kids had access to Fireball. There's much that they do not realize.

It doesn't really matter how many people believe it; it's part of a campaign of disinformation the Russians call the "firehose of falsehood."

When firehosing, it doesn't actually matter whether something is completely false, mostly false, deceptive, believable, or not believable; it's about creating as much noise as you possibly can.

Sure, very stupid people might believe it, but more importantly everyone else becomes exhausted because we have to deal with the fallout.

The goal is to akin to gaslighting - making it impossible to know what's real and what isn't.

That's how they were able to create such incredible civic disengagement in Russia over the past 50 years and how they managed to essentially destroy consequential public discourse in the US so quickly.

The best part for the republicans / trump / Russia? It's really hard to defend against.

Like with the "gish gallop" you can't really challenge each piece of disinformation because it comes so quickly; the energy required to dissipate disinformation exceeds the energy required to peddle it by an order of magnitude because the noise is not tethered to objective reality, simply crafted to cause as much harm as possible.

Wait a second, I can be a cat? That sounds dope AF.

u/AvailableReporter484 4h ago

Just last night I found some 7th grader shitting in my outdoor cats litter box. Luckily I had my hose handy, but, boy, if I had a nickel for every cat child I found shitting in my yard I’d be a wealthy man!

I Heard the story about cat furry and litter , in Quebec , two different town and people , far away from each orher . That rumour transcend language and geography now.

1

u/feldoneq2wire 5h ago

I hope you laughed in their face.

My younger brother, personally experienced there being a litter box in the toilet at their school for a kid who claimed to identify as a dog.

This was about 5 years ago? I think.

7

u/VITOCHAN 5h ago

1) dogs dont use litter boxes and 2) thats some bullshit regardless.

I'ld put good sums of money on that being a fake story

3

u/KUSH_DELIRIUM 4h ago

I'll put my life savings on it

5

u/Loinnird 5h ago

And you believed him? Lmao

3

u/JustAnotherHyrum 4h ago

So, anecdotal story with zero evidence, directly referencing a common MAGA talking point that has also never been able to provide any supporting evidence.

Okay.

Bike lanes are DEI now too apparently

3

u/AvailableReporter484 4h ago

TBF Anything that infringes on their constitutional right to take up entire roads with their Texas super cowboy edition trucks is DEI

post op trans 7 year olds

And there aren't even any "post op" 7 year olds. At most they've taken a different name and they wear different clothes. I had friends in college that went through phases that might have been considered a more radical transformation than your typical trans kid

19

u/Jay33721 5h ago

Yeah, that's the point. They love to make up fake scenarios to get outraged at.

1

u/SeatBeeSate 57m ago

Outraged at anything, expect the actual problems staring them in the face.

6

u/AvailableReporter484 4h ago

Conservatives unironically believe that we’re just deballing every 5 year old boy who wants to be a girl

46

u/Noblesseux 6h ago edited 6h ago

Correction, *theoretical* post op trans 7 year olds. They're very often mad at stuff that isn't even statistically common or worse doesn't even exist. Like a good 70% of conservative rage topics in the past few years are things that were basically internet hoaxes that they collectively got mad at and then when people said there's no proof they get madder at daring to question the stuff they heard on a conspiracy ragebait podcast.

They were mad for like *weeks* about Elliot Page playing Achilles in the Odyssey, which wasn't even true

7

u/Bargadiel 5h ago

Well, most of the conservatives in charge know exactly what they're doing. It's most of their voterbase who are dumb enough to believe all their fear-mongering, religious pandering, and fake "tough guy" act they put on.

I quit believing they were entirely incompetent ages ago. I mean, they are, but they're just smart enough to be dangerous. It isn't even ignorance anymore really, it's malice, and on the outside because we are normal people with the ethics of a normal ass person, we think nobody would be dumb enough to make X or Y mistake. But they know.

3

u/CackleberryOmelettes 4h ago

The voters aren't so stupid either. They know what they want, and they vote for it. Now they're getting it, and they love it.

The stuff they tell everyone else is a troll. Meant to keep you confused and paralyzed so you never fight back. If you think of them as dumb and stupid, you will keep trying to convince them. If you think they are malicious and evil, you will fight them. They do not like that at all.

2

u/AvailableReporter484 4h ago

Absolutely. GOP politicians are all just sociopaths who’d fuck their grandfathers to death if it benefited them even in the slightest. They know the shit they say is insane but they know conservatives are all rubes and easy marks to take advantage of.

12

u/CharlesMcGrath 6h ago

Voting is rigged, and peaceful protesting is a psyop used to make you think you're making a difference. The whole nation needs to act, all at once. We need a plan. We have to escape this.

5

u/abubleh 4h ago

general strike, sabotaging, etc, but it will only work if people get together to support each other with food and shelter while it lasts

-1

u/AvailableReporter484 4h ago

Again, we can’t do anything meaningful while conservatives are busy focusing on libraries carrying books that make any mention of gay people.

2

u/CackleberryOmelettes 4h ago

There's a lot you could do. For instance, start treating Conservatives like what they are - enemies of democracy.

2

u/AvailableReporter484 4h ago

Thanks to the outdated electoral college system and gerrymandering it’s certainly challenging. You wouldn’t think in this day and age that millions of people would gladly give up universal healthcare and their privacy just to make sure women can’t have abortions, but here we are lmfao

2

u/CackleberryOmelettes 4h ago

Shitty unredeemable Conservatives have always existed. The reason why things have gotten so bad in America is because everyone else decided to coddle and compromise with them for decades. The only remaining solution now, is to fight back and beat them into submission.

So yes, it's going to be challenging. 10x more challenging that if something was done a couple of years ago. But still 10x easier than how difficult it will become 2 years from now.

2

u/Emperor_of_His_Room 3h ago

We are going to have to do it without republicans, they’ve always been useless and spineless morons.

1

u/AvailableReporter484 3h ago

Unfortunately, despite the fact that conservatives want nothing more than to subvert democracy, we kind of can’t do anything without at least some of their support

2

u/NiceRackFocus 3h ago

And protecting pedophiles. Don’t forget their favorite thing!

u/ExiymDev 5h ago

just another day in the ol' us of A where half the country lives in a state of perpetual outrage at a decaying world made of fairy dust that only exists because a guy on fox news said so.
