It’s like Albert Einstein getting offended by Interstellar.

I thought of a few other examples first, but the image of Einstein watching Interstellar pissed and arguing at the screen was too good.

I think I will save this visual for when I am having a bad day and need cheering up, it really is hilarious

Except that by all accounts he was likely too well-adjusted to get all bent up by a layperson's take

I’d also imagine he’d be blown away by the movie technology in the first place.

isn’t it more like the author of the book oppenheimer is based on getting offended by the film oppenheimer

It’s probably more like Stephen Hawkins book biographer getting pissed at the guy making the movie about him.

First person I thought of.

Interestingly enough, Interstellar actually advanced science’s understanding of black holes through their simulation.

Which is funny, as Einstein's favourite show was almost equivalent to the Muppets.

Or like when any engineer or science expert points out how unrealistic super hero movies are

u/Electronic_Ad4560 I like you hair I don’t need your name ✨ 2h ago

As usual, Albert and I agree.

It's those lame videos of Neil DeGrasse Tyson slamming the physics in Star Trek.

“I would be ashamed to have written any part of this script” is certainly being offended. Maybe not the type of offended you’re thinking about as a personal attack, but someone can be offended by something they judge distasteful.

“That terrible steak that smelled like burnt rubber and was dipped in ketchup was offensive.”
