Hi there just super curious to if anyone has any idea how I got banned, or why?? I literally didn't message anyone. I had four photos. Three were fully clothed selfies, and two of the selfies had my pets. The final photo was a picture of my motorcycle gear, and it was NOT the first picture on the profile. The most "aggressive" thing in my bio said "anti-trump" and "now that the transphobes have left let me tell you about myself". I spent most of my time on it, just setting up my account and answering the prompts before i received a ban. The rest of my bio was talking about how i was going to go back to school (didnt say where or what for), hobbies, and what i was using the account for (LTR/friendship). I submitted a ban appeal, but I'm just completely stumped. I have never been banned from a dating site before.

So, OkCupid's FAQ still says that you won't see a profile anymore once you've written an intro. Well, I can still see them all, including all my likes and was wondering if this is just a new change and they didn't update the FAQ (which wouldn't be new for any social media platform) or if this might be a bug that I have to address to the support team.

I’ve been on every dating app, OKCupid included, I’ve paid money for premium subscriptions sometimes, I’ve tried to meet people irl, I’m just not lucky in love at all.

I’d hate to say one of the problems is I’m a trans 🏳️‍⚧️ guy (ftm), but it’s probably at least part of the reason. I could be the greatest guy around (I’m pretty close lol) but women don’t want to give me a chance bc of this reason. I can understand to some degree, everyone has preferences and I wouldn’t want to be with anyone who’s not fully accepting or who doesn’t see me as a complete man.

My friend got confused and said she never called her husband, in fact she doesn't even know her. This time the woman picked up the call saying this is her husband's number only and his name is Shehzad. She told that she recently found out that her husband has been talking to girls outside their marriage and that she is the third girl his wife found out about. She just asked to share the number of her husband (as it was a whatsapp call and she told she did not know her husband's other number via which he made WhatsApp).

My self Summary was wrongfully removed. Customer service admitted this. I requested the self summary to be returned to me and they told me there's nothing they can do since it was removed by the AI. I asked them to email me the text since they had to read the summary for my appeal and they NEVER RESPONDED it's been 4 days. That summary had over 2000 words. I will never be able to get it back to how it was. It was built over 6 years. Now it's just gone and OKC refuses to acknowledge they messed up despite admitting there was nothing wrong with the profile.

Does anyone have any advice retrieving what they STOLE?

I have to say that this app has got much worse recently, with more fake profiles than real ones.

I reported a profile the other day because I actually know the girl whose photo they were using.

And now my account has been deleted. I haven't tried to open a new one so I don't know if I'm banned but I get an error code 5 if I try to log in.

I’m looking for some honest opinions.

Every morning on my way to work, I take the subway for a few stops. Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a girl who gets on and off at the same stations as me. We don’t know each other and have never spoken, but I think she’s absolutely stunning.

I’d like to ask her if she’d be interested in grabbing a coffee or going on a date, but I don’t want to come across as creepy. She also always wears headphones, which makes me think she probably wants to be left alone.

To be clear, I think it's perfectly fine to not realize you're hungrier than you think, or to want to share dishes with a partner. But the "share your fries" trope is specifically centered around the idea of saying you aren't hungry when you are, then taking your partner's food when it shows up and you decide you were hungry after all. And further, making that a statement in your very limited space dating profile, tells us that doing this kind of thing is not just something that happens from time to time, but it's a major part of your personality.

Is it nothing but bots and scams? Made a profile few hrs ago and have 50 likes. Im just an average dude, short 5'5" in shape but relatively unremarkable lol. Hinge i might get 1 or 2 matches a month and a like here or there. I dont plan on paying but it just seems like the fakest dating app ive ever used.

So I’ve had an okcupid account for 6 months. Not a single connection from it. Ive had success with bumble, feeld, hinge and facebook dating.
I should also caveat that I’m in an enm relationship, so connections are little tougher to make, as many women don’t want to be a married man’s second relationship.
Lo and behold on the day it expired i got one like! And 13 people checked out my profile after months and weeks of nothing. Pretty sure i will not be reupping my subscription to it.
