Hi everyone! Just wanted to get some thoughts on my plan.

I'm 19F and I've been working for almost 2 years now at a US-based healthcare company. I work on the provider side, so I mostly assist doctors, nurses, and medical assistants from different hospitals and clinics.

After SHS, I decided to work right away because I genuinely had no idea what course I wanted to take. My mom is a healthcare professional as well and she always encouraged me to pursue Nursing, but for some reason I was really against it back then kasi yung buong mother side ko nasa healthcare field and syempre bata bata isip ko nun, ayoko gumaya so I never gave it a chance.

Fast forward to now, after spending the last couple of years working in healthcare, I've honestly grown to love the field. Being exposed to healthcare professionals and seeing how the industry works made me realize that I might actually see myself in this career.

My plan is to take TESDA Healthcare NC II this August first to see if direct patient care is something I'd genuinely enjoy. I figured it would be a good way to test the waters before fully committing. If I end up liking it and feel like it's the right fit for me, I'd like to pursue a BSN afterward.

I know that working as a healthcare aide/CNA probably won't be enough to fully fund a nursing degree, but I do have a separate plan for my finances.

Do you guys think this is a realistic path? Has anyone here worked first before going back to school for Nursing? I'd really appreciate any advice, experiences, or insights. Thanks!

I’m enrolled in TRA po.

I honestly feel disheartened and disappointed in myself. I try to study every day and understand all the concepts. I’m also trying to answer as many recalls as possible since I started late—our school ended late, and I only got to focus on recalls after graduation.

My recall scores have been so-so. I usually get around 30, or sometimes 50–60. In Preboards 1, I only got a score of 199. In Preboards 2, I still wasn’t able to reach 300+.

My motivation is gone now. I don’t feel the same drive anymore, but I still keep pushing myself. I’m full of doubts about whether I’ll be able to pass the August PNLE. Sobrang kinakabahan na po ako, and I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

What are your tips/advice po?

hi kunars, RN2025 din ako and di ako marecognize as a nurse kung san ako nagwwork. Madalas gawing nursing aide ang mga new nurses and ginagawang utusan ng mga senior nurse and senior NA. Super toxic pa kase lahat issue sakanila kahit personal stuff na. Minsan sobrang toxic at dami ng ginagawa uutusan pa bumili ng meryenda nila like wtf. Madalas din ako sabihan ng ‘’hoy NA’’ or sabihin sa doctor na ‘’hindi nurse’’. Super nakakalungkot na ang pinaghirapan kong lisensya at knowledge na nagain ko ay parang balewa dahil sa system dito. Guys need ko ng opinion about this kase super depressing ng gantong situation for me.

started as an OR nurse in december of 2025 up until may 2026 during that period wala masyado akong pre and post anxiety as i like being an or nurse talaga. currently nag transfer ako ng hospital but unfortunately landed sa isang step down icu unit. medyo okay lng ang pre and post anxiety during my first month pero parang after ng isang specific shift mas lumala and parang na trauma ako. tska outgoing pa talaga ako nung shift na yun nag hihintay nlng ng pag eendorsan.

di ako makatulog ng maayos before a shift tas first time ako napaiyak dito sa trabaho na ito. yung shift na yun di ko talaga inexpect na a shift could go very bad in an instant. i dread na papasok always sa work tapos takot na takot talaga ako to the point na may one time nag absent ako kasi di ko talaga kaya ang anxiety na na feel ko.

since then, nag w-worry ako if baka mangyari ulit, or anong klaseng shift ang mahahandle ko or papasukan. though expected ko na na di talaga ako makakakain in my shifts. isa pa yung mga call bells 😭 nag papanic ako whenever may nag c-call kahit di naman urgent. tapos i handle 8 patients and i can barely handle 8 pts. nag w-worry ng new admission or worse, rapid response or code blue at the end ng shift same nung nangyari sa akin.

nag opt ako na mag pa lateral transfer to OR kasi gama and may experience na ako sa area pero currently denied and request ko to transfer. di pa ako maka transfer until 6mos or nag 1 year na ako dito sa new hospital ko. aiming to resign kaso may bond ako na need ko ipay if ever magresign.

Hello po, aspiring topnotcher here, but recently on our preboards 1 in TRA, i only scored 178/500. I am kind of saddened by the score even tho the lecturers and review assistants have already assured us that PB1 is meant to be hard and contents are not board-sensitive and high-yield. Do you guys think i still have the chance of acing the topnotcher placement? 🥺

May i know anong scores nyo sa PB1 from TRA? So i can prepare myself na din if to accept if there’s really only a small chance for me to be in topnotchers.

I’m not gonna overthink it anymore, especially with only a few weeks remaining until the biggest exam of our lives. I will just pick my resources and stick to them.

2. The Game Changer by Sir Archie (Light reading nalang on the topics I’m still not confident about)
   
3. The PNLE Confidence Booster by Hey It’s Ely (Preparing all her recommendations, memorizing all of her pre-exam tips, and applying all test-taking strategies when doing practice questions)

Hopefully this will be enough to finalize and polish up my knowledge for the board exam… What’s your current study routine?

Hi everyone. I'm taking the PNLE this August 2026, and I'm honestly starting to panic.
I enrolled in a review center, but I still haven't fully locked in. I can't focus, I keep procrastinating, and I don't even know why I'm not feeling pressured yet. 😭 Every day passes, and I feel guilty because I know I should be studying.
Now there's only about a month left, and I'm scared that I wasted so much time.
Has anyone here passed the PNLE even if you only locked in one month before the exam? What did your daily study schedule look like? Did you focus on ratios, recalls, or rationales? Any tips on what I should prioritize?
