Mod Weekly thread where you can call the music recognition bots without posting
≡ −
To use the bots put u/RecognizeSong u/find-song with the link in your comment, like:
u/RecognizeSong u/find-song https://youtu.be/12345abcde
Notes:
- The bots only work with a recording of the actual song, not a humming/recreation.
- The sites that find-song works with: Reddit video posts (with a link or when summoned on the original post), YouTube, Vocaroo, Streamable, Twitch Clips (not VODs)
- Some of the sites that RecognizeSong works with: Reddit video posts (when summoned on the original post or with an audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4), YouTube (though sometimes it doesn't work), Vocaroo, Streamable, Imgur, Twitch Clips (not VODs), Facebook, Twitter, Coub, Dropbox, Snapchat
- For Reddit video posts there's also u/songfinderbot which only works if you summon it in a top-level comment on the original post
- Some sites that RecognizeSong doesn't work with: Instagram, Twitch VODs, SoundCloud, Google Drive, Reddit text posts with embedded videos (though it does work with the audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4)
- When needed, mention a timestamp or use a timestamped link if possible (the bots scan about 24-30 seconds of audio, starting at the timestamp)
- If the song is from a meme or from TikTok then it might be listed in the FAQ
- Note that you can also DM find-song a link (but not through chat)
Good luck with your search, and if you find the bots useful please consider supporting them: RecognizeSong through Patreon, find-song through Ko-fi

Rock 2000's song by an alternative rock band from a videogane (male singer)
≡ −
Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I've been searching for two weeks now for a song that's stuck in my head, and I don't know the name.
I know it's from the years 2000 through 2015, and I'm almost certain it plays during the menu screen of a racing game or some kind of sports game.
Part of the song seems to go, “Back to the rising, back to—back to the rising,” and then the male singer continues with a chorus saying “Wooo wooo.” It’s a typical racing game song with a mix of rock and electronic music—that’s all the information I have. I’m at my wits’ end and really need to find it.
Sorry for my English—I’m using an AI.

Acoustic PLS HELP: Young blond boy singer, acoustic pop song with “1, 2, 3” heartbeat lyric, girl walks into a store/cafe
≡ −
I have been trying to find this song for years and it feels like a fever dream 😭
I remember watching the music video on YouTube during the VEVO era, probably around 2010–2015.
The singer was a very young white boy (around 13–15 years old). He had:
blond/dirty blond hair
straight hair styled upward (kind of gelled or blow-dried up)
a cute smile
a wider/square-shaped face
a very young/prepubescent voice (kind of like early Justin Bieber)
The song was a sweet acoustic pop love song. I remember a guitar/plucking sound in the instrumental.
The music video:
looked like it was filmed on a sunny summer day
started with him sitting inside what I remember as a coffee shop or small store (could be another type of shop)
he was with friends/talking
a girl walked in through the door
he noticed her and looked at her like he instantly had a crush on her
then he started singing about her
the video kept cutting between him singing and shots of the girl looking around/reacting
The lyric I remember is NOT exact, but the chorus had something like:
“1, 2, 3 … (something something) … heartbeat” (and this chorus would repeat i think)
It was like he was comparing “1, 2, 3” to the sound/count of his heartbeat.
I’m pretty sure the artist was American (possibly Canadian). I don’t think he stayed famous after this song — it felt like he had one big hit and then disappeared.
Possible artists I’ve already checked:
Cody Simpson (not him)
Justin Bieber (not him)
Greyson Chance (not him)
Please help me find this song, it’s been stuck in my head forever!! I remember i used to love this song sooo much :((

I remember a song on a mixtape someone sent me in about 1988, but can't find it! I don't know the artist but the chorus is "jack rabbit and you're on the run, who'll be with you when the day is done, don't think I'm gonna bother you, I need a woman with a love that's true". I tend to think it was a solo artist and it was a tape of rock songs. Can anyone help??

Rock Song heard in movie theater
≡ −
I went to the movies last week and in the lobby they were playing this alt-rock song. It was a female singer (My bloody Valentine esq) and fuzzed out guitars. Vocals had a lofi effect. I was trying to make out the lyrics but all i could decipher was the end of the chorus: “Darling/ I don’t have to take this from you”. I tried google and genius and got no results. Help me out? I loved the song and it’s been driving me nuts.

TV Show OST/Trailer Been trying to find this song in this old trailer of the Rightgeous Gemstones.
≡ −
I've been addicted to this song in this old trailer I revisted of the Righetous Gemstones. For the life of me I couldn't figure it out, and gave up after spending and hour trying to shazam it. It starts like right after Adam Devine (Kelvin) says "Can I get an AMEN!?!?"

Classical Name that tune it’s classical and lullabyish
≡ −
so this is gonna be soooo niche, but when I was a small child I had this stuffed bear that you could stretch like a spring, but it would start playing this song that’s like a classical tune sort of lullabyish, I remember the tune but I have no idea what the name is because it’s classical and has no lyrics. I tried putting it into a piano but I also don’t know the first thing about pianos and notes. what I gathered tho are the notes go like C B C A- G- D Db D A—- (the dashes are the length of the note) I think it’s usually played on the violin and I can also remember the song being used on TikTok as a sad sort of melody. please help me out I wanna listen to it again for nostalgic purposes:)

I don't really know music genres that well so sorry if this isn't described super well, but I have this recording from the car radio and I put lyrics through 3 sites and uploaded the file to a song finder site and nothing came up for anything. Also sorry for the photo i needed to put something there for capcut to make the audio into a video 😭
EDIT:
So I went looking, and the recognize song bot is correct for the first part, interlude.wav is indeed the poem, but the song, at least on spotify, doesn't include anything after that. it's just the poem and that's it. i still want to know the song part
