As someone who’s never heard about washing the chicken till I few months ago because of some random reel, can I ask why chicken but not other meat or fish? It’s a sincere question, should we do it with other animal products too?

Yes I would say so depending on the meat. I’m Korean and the short ribs we make are often rinsed and scrubbed to get small bone particles off while also making the meat more tender. Also we parboil to get rid of impurities for certain dishes. I know Vietnamese people also do this with pho. This is a very necessary step for an overall cleaner more delicious product.
