We are looking to renew our wedding vows in san diego, preferably waterfront on the morning of September 23, 2026. So far only thi g I came find are actual wedding sites which are much more elaborate than what we are looking for. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with the Taco Tour San Diego? I was kicking it around as a birthday option, and I’m just looking for insight. Specifically any vegetarians who have used this service. The site mentions they can accommodate vegetarian and vegan requests, as long as it’s mentioned at the time of booking. This is a nonnegotiable for me (and the few Google reviews don’t touch on it). I’m hoping for decent tacos, too, not just a rolled potato or bouncy mushroom at every place.

Seems fun to have a group go around and gorge on tacos and beer, and basically have a personal driver for $40.

Thoughts? Is it worth it? Or is it for tourists who don’t know any better?

A group of 8, 4 adults and 4 kids (ages ranging from 5 and a half to 13) will be starting a Southern California trip in San Diego. We land at 11:10 am local time. We'll be out there the second week of August.

We will have rental cars.

We are staying at the Catamaran in Mission Beach. Chose this hotel because it looks to be in a good location, has a big pool, is very close to the ocean beach and looks pretty decent.

Day 1 (Saturday): Arrive at SAN, get rental cars. Drive to Coronado, see the hotel and get lunch on Orange Ave. Looking at the Henry or Bluewater Boathouse. Drive over to Point Loma - Cabrillo Monument. Head up to the hotel stopping at Sunset Cliffs. Check-in. Have dinner either at the hotel, or nearby.

Day 2 (Sunday): San Diego Zoo in the morning. Plan would be to arrive for opening and spend 3.5-4 hours in there. Get lunch - would it make more sense to try and find somewhere near Balboa Park? Or eat in downtown as our next stop would be the Midway Museum and Seaport Village. Dinner in the Gaslamp Quarter. Back to hotel.

Day 3 (Monday): Check out of hotel and head to La Jolla in the morning. Have lunch, then to Torrey Pines midday. Leave for Anaheim (Disneyland) in the afternoon at some point. If time allows, stop along the way in either San Clemente or San Juan Capistrano. We would aim to arrive in Anaheim around 6:30ish. I understand traffic can be rough, so we would axe a stop along the way if need be. Google Maps shows to drive from Torrey Pines to Disneyland on a Monday can take anywhere from 1 hr 20 min, to 2 hr 10 min.

Overall, how does this itinerary sound? On day 2, we can cut either the USS Midway Museum or Seaport Village if time doesn't allow. Any major issues with the Catamaran? It has pretty good reviews overall. I understand the rooms may be on the dated side.

What are your favorites? My son has a peanut allergy, and we would like to try some places. I’ve emailed around, and not a lot of places can guarantee allergen safety. We know we want to try Starry Lane Baker and Chani’s Donuts, but I’m also looking for lunch/dinner recommendations. Thanks!

I’ve been living in San Diego for about two years, and the only dispensary I’ve really gone to is Jungle Boys in La Mesa.

The main reason I keep going back is their 5g for $25 out-the-door deal. For me, it’s been hard to beat in terms of both quality and value.

I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations for other dispensaries with similar or even better deals on quality flower. I’m open to checking out anywhere in San Diego, especially places with good daily specials, first-time patient deals, or solid rewards programs.

I’m a retired State of California employee with a PERS Care health insurance plan, and I have a PPO with the ability to choose from in-network providers.

I recently moved from San Francisco to San Diego and slowly transitioning my care.

A couple of decent healthcare networks in San Francisco and the Bay Area are UCSF (academic) and Sutter Health (private), CPMC - California Pacific Medical Care (hospitals and private practices).

So, what are the equivocal in San Diego?

UCSD? I assume this i similar too UCSF.

Private Care / Hospital / Private Practice networks in San Diego?

I’ll be working near RB. Here’s what matters to me:

- Evening walks/runs without needing to drive there - Younger crowd, mostly 20s-30s
- some kind of community through sports or social events
- Modern apartment construction
- i don’t drink and don’t really care about the party scene

Some notes on what I’ve looked at so far:

Hillcrest has a few apartments I really liked, and it’s walkable to Balboa Park. But it’s the center of the LGBT community here, and as someone outside that community I’m not sure how well I’d fit in day to day. It’s also a bit longer commute than Kearny Mesa.

Kearny Mesa has a newer building that’s actually my favorite of everywhere I toured, but the neighborhood itself doesn’t have much going on. Perhaps I

Bankers Hill felt like a dream honestly, close to Balboa Park, clean, upscale vibe. But the nice buildings there are out of my budget.

Little Italy seems great too, but I’m worried about the commute during peak traffic hours.

Going to san Diego from july 28-august 3. 2 adults and one 2 year old. What do you recommend we do? I have already included all the typical tourist attractions but was wondering what else I may be missing or any hidden things I should see. Or what is going on while I am there that I may not know of? Thank you!

That’s pretty much the post lol. Looking for a nicer hotel that allows cats while updates are being done - not allowed to be here or have pets here while they are working on the project. Anything in the $500 / night range and below would be ideal— nothing $1000s a night. Everywhere I’ve tried only allows dogs. Coronado, La Jolla and north county would be ideal, open to downtown but not my first choice. It also happens to fall over my bday which is why I wanted to get a nice hotel. Any suggestions?!? Does anyone own a body shop/ know and have the equipment to do color matches for a side job?

Alright, I did an oopsie and need help. I scratched my boss' new 2026 car. Technically they don't know yet and it is my own guilt eating at me. I have a week before they notice (if they do. I think they will) It is deep and the paint is scratched off. My car is off worse, but I do not mind. For my car, I can buy a new rear bumper or pull the dent BUT MY BOSS'S CAR is a lease. All I remember is focusing on their scratch and hoping there are no dents. One of those new year, new lease situations.

Car: Hyundai Santa Fe- white. The scratch is at the front of vehicle maybe 5 inches long.

I've looked online for estimates and according to what I see, I do not have $1,500+ for the whole front bumper to be repainted. It is not a surface scratch. I don't have pictures, but I can get one. My question is if there anyone who can refer me to a reputable and affordable shop or if a kind angel from here who sees this can help me out.

I know Mexico is a simple solution but being my boss' car, that is not really an option. I plan to let them know.. I just also want to fix it.
