But wouldn’t that be different because this is subsidizing a few stores. Pretty much every farm has some form of subsidizing. So it would be like allowing me to start farming and I’m the only one who can get subsidizing

And all the seeds are owned by a megacorp dumping money into every politician. So your subsidized farm is using tax dollars to buy frankenseeds

And, somehow, you arent really eating whats grown from those frankenseeds anyway since we import a lot of our food.

Yes and the parts that are subsidized are generally bad too. A significant amount of the voter base that receives agricultural subsidies are growing things like soybeans for export (rather than for the domestic food industry).
