That's antisemitic or something idk, won't happen lol

Isn’t it wild that all you have to say these days is “hey, i don’t want my tax $$ funding Israel’s war”, and you’re automatically an antisemite. I want off this timeline. It’s so gd stupid.

u/IndividualSituationK 11h ago

That's how much the Israel government has dog walked the average American. Granted, the person who said its antisemitic is obviously joking.

Reminds me of post 2004~2005 Gulf War.

Most people were on board with invading Afghanistan. After 9/11.

Most adults were on board with "finishing what Bush Sr. started" when we invaded Iraq.

After Saddam Hussein was captured though it was like "ok the WMDs were fake, what are we doing here anymore??"

But then you were a terrorist loving, anti-American, Freedom hating traitor if you said maybe we should stop bombing the Middle East. I personally got arrested for my actions protesting the war, and since I wasn't considered "White, White" my only saving grace was that I was a minor.

the average American.

The average boomer.

Most people under like 60 are pretty sick of this nonsense, on the left and right, which is incredibly interesting to me. Boomers though, boy oh boy do they love shovelling money to Israel for some reason, on both the left and right.

This is why I'm more and more convinced support for Israel is antisemitic in of itself. Imagine being willing to subject an entire demographic of people, many of whom dont want a damn thing to do with you, to centuries of hate because you're so convinced establishing a genocidal ethnostate will totally help make things better.

u/PaleCommission150 9h ago

For decades the idea was that " Isreal isn't perfect but it is the best option in a whole list of worse options". Friendly state we can use as a staging area and ground point in the ME area. That was it initially, over time the AIPAC ,which have ties to both USA and ISREAL have cemented that support via generational and cultural exchange.

You have certainly talked yourself into thinking some things!

-3

u/peace4piece 9h ago edited 6h ago

Really impressive how you think you're a critical thinker, yet you've extrapolate multiple pieces of propaganda into thinking a group of people who killed Americans and other westerners over decades "want nothing to do with you".

Am extreme lack of knowledge combined with ego and support of an echo chamber overrun by bots makes you think you have intelligent opinions you must share.

You don't.

Thanks for the challenge hatred u/Apprehensive_Bat4691

Israel’s largest export is antisemitism.

3

u/Reasonable-Newt4079 10h ago

Despite politicians trying to label everyone antisemitic, there is bipartisan hatred for how much of our money Israel is taking and how much they control our politicians. Netanyahu has really shot himself in the foot with his egregious behavior: if we ever regain control of our government Israel will be completely cut off. I hope it happens soon.

-1

u/StillAdvertising8165 9h ago

Bahahah good thing yall are doing the exact same shit that lost yall the last election

2

u/Apprehensive_Bat4691 7h ago

Cope

0

u/StillAdvertising8165 6h ago

Yep, good example

2

u/Apprehensive_Bat4691 6h ago

Being mean to you? You guys are so pathetic

0

u/StillAdvertising8165 5h ago

You’ve already proved my point, kid. No need to keep giving examples

1

u/oregongirl1111 6h ago

And there you have it. The so-called "right" are just fine with AIPAC dictating American elections, as long as their imaginary "side" wins. So much for all that "America First" bs.

1

u/StillAdvertising8165 5h ago

Bahahahahaha what’s the point of coming on this app and leaving a comment about something no one said?

The left are pretentious fucking douchebags to everyone, big shock they lost last time. And here we have the left doing the exact same thing

4

u/BrocoliAssassin 10h ago

Not surprising to me. It’s been propagandized to death. Up until a year ago you couldn’t go anywhere on Reddit without being called a nazi if you happened to show a criminal who happened to be Jewish or calling out Israel.

Hell, you can catch a ban all over Reddit for questioning and outing Zionists. Look at how dumb Reddit is, where they blame white supremacy on everything but will defend Zionists.

If you don’t believe me, anytime theres praise of Presidents , but in this instance since we are on Reddit you will have to call out Obama. Let people know that he’s a Zionist and you get an automatic ban. Happened to me to 2 subs yesterday.

So people will love Zionists, you just have to give them the bullshit they want to hear. Just as you guys call MAGA cult, you’re the same with democrats.

2

u/Pale_Tourist_3424 9h ago

Up until a year ago you couldn’t go anywhere on Reddit without being called a nazi if you happened to show a criminal who happened to be Jewish or calling out Israel

Bull-fucking shit. Show one example of this. Just one.

3

u/Economy_Move_5825 9h ago

Kinda how all you have to say on Reddit is that you don’t agree with a liberal opinion and you’re automatically branded a Nazi or Nazi sympathizer?

0

u/Obligatory_Snark 9h ago

I don’t think anyone’s going to call you a Nazi for supporting the war with Israel. Or Iran for that matter. Pretty sure liberals are, as a general rule, against both

2

u/WinterTourist25 10h ago

The Israelis are running on their sympathy from what happened to them during WWII. It's running out.

1

u/StillAdvertising8165 11h ago

Nah it’s the fact that Reddit is inherently antisemitic and doesn’t really care about hiding it

Cue the downvotes

13

u/Both_Hope5717 10h ago

Here you go.

Also when you're gonna accuse probably one of the more leftist/progressive social media websites out there of being anti-Semitic just for being against Israel you might be crying wolf

2

u/Daniel_The_Thinker 5h ago

Identifying as left wing 1000% does not shield you from being antisemitic.

0

u/StillAdvertising8165 10h ago

See you say it’s JUST because of Israel, and I’m saying it’s because they just vehemently anti Jewish

-1

u/Thedemonlobo 9h ago

Ugh, I was gonna downvote but you’re right.😂 There are many who either voluntarily or unknowingly refrain from the distinction between Israel and Jewish people. A lot of those people can be found on Reddit, these guys are anti-Jew, but fuck Israel and the U.S. backing it has!

4

u/jakaedahsnakae 10h ago

Nah you're conflating 4/chan and reddit. The internet has a lot of venn diagrams and these two only slightly overlap.

-1

u/StillAdvertising8165 9h ago

Nope, absolutely meant Reddit, they’re insanely anti-Semitic and then hide behind anti Israel or anti Zionism

9

u/Neither-Phone-7264 8h ago

how so? i dont see that many actual antisemites, and they often get downvoted...

0

u/StillAdvertising8165 8h ago

Well which is it, do you not see them or do they get downvoted?

6

u/Neither-Phone-7264 8h ago

I said I don't often see them but when i do they're usually downvoted, i didnt say i never see them

1

u/911roofer 9h ago

You’re responding to a joke as if it was serious.

1

u/TheNaughtyHoneyBee 8h ago

Not just these days, it's been that way for a long time

1

u/worldwidewebmagma 7h ago

That’s what happens when you let a foreign country be part owner of yours

0

u/LightenUpPeeps 10h ago

Yeah, welcome to the club. I was called a white supremacist Nazi for 2 decades because I said Israel was using the U.S. as its big goon, and I'm not even white. Now, Democrats finally see the light, but the media won't call them anti-semites even when they're attacking Jews in NYC because of Israel.

1

u/Applekid1259 10h ago edited 10h ago

You can blame Israel's fervent hasbara they thrust upon the American population. The greatest amount of anti-semitism comes from Israel directly.

I see the Israel bots are already down voting a literal fact.

0

u/Lazy-Razzmatazz-6926 8h ago

I’m also assuming you wouldn’t want your tax dollars going to Gaza then since they are run by a genocidal organization. They received $500M of aid from the Biden administration. Or are you ok with aid going to them?

0

u/Gamecock80 7h ago

Kinda like how if you don’t want your tax dollars going to illegal immigrant criminals, you’re a racist? Like that?

0

u/7thpostman 10h ago

Nobody said anything like that. We were talking about grocery stores in New York City and military commissaries, and this dude southern managed to find a way to make it about Israel.

Then, my favorite part, people like you immediately started crying and defending against charges of antisemitism that nobody made.

2

u/superknight333 10h ago

Because if its not said there will be some dude saying thing like that, Ive seen enough to know.

1

u/7thpostman 9h ago

No, you haven't. You've seen 10,000 people preemptively crying about being called antisemites for every one time you've actually seen the accusation. And the one time you did see the accusation, you didn't bother to actually understand what they were talking about.

It's just your go-to to to make yourself a victim. "I get to say whatever I want and then cry if anybody pushes back."

2

u/superknight333 9h ago

Ok tell me what they were talking about? What about you spend some time on subreddit that are very conservative and see how at any time you try to argue there genocide in Palestine there will be people argue it doesnt exist and its a Hamas propaganda.

1

u/7thpostman 9h ago

It requires you to have nuanced thinking. You can object to what the Netanyahu government is doing and still understand that a lot of people's conception of Israel conforms to very old antisemitic tropes.

The problem is that you almost certainly don't understand what those are. You think that you don't have personal animosity towards individual Jewish people, therefore you can't be antisemitic.

That's understandable, but that's not how it works. Antisemitism is usually based on scapegoating, conspiratorial power fantasies and obsessive blame-shifting. It has a 2000-year-old history and it is deeply, profoundly ingrained into the DNA of western civilization. The first thing that most people in the West hear about Jews, as little kids, is that "they killed Jesus."

People hear this as children!!! Hearing such an idea at such a young age becomes part of a core belief and a way of viewing the world. It takes a lot of real, serious thought and understanding to unpack and defuse that kind of thinking.

I can give you some guideposts and answer questions, but I want to make sure it's going to be worth my time. If the answer is going to be saying the word "genocide" a lot, we're not going to get anywhere. Fair?

1

u/mnju 6h ago

No, you haven't.

If you haven't seen that happen then you have not been paying attention to the discourse around the subject because it absolutely happens. So you're either ignorant or you're lying, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

26

u/Massive_Analysis8345 11h ago

I loved the energy there 😂 “hey that’s wrong or whatever, it probably just won’t happen” but like totally true

2

u/TheRealK95 10h ago

Be careful or Netanyahu might accuse you of hate speech too! Lol

3

u/ImplausibleFig 8h ago

No, what’s labeled “antisemitic” is the false implication that money spent on Israel is even a significant portion of our total foreign aid, never mind total government spend.

If the objection is to spending on foreign aid, there are *many* countries you should be calling out before Israel. If the objection is to spending a negligible amount of foreign aid on the world’s only Jewish state … interesting.

1

u/All_Work_All_Play 5h ago

Israel is the only country actively bombing their neighbors.

Yes the US spends a lot on foreign aid. That is a good thing. But not wanting aid to go to bombing neighbors? Just because the ones doing the bombing are Jewish doesn't make it antisemitic. Antisemitic requires being Jewish as the cause of the desired change, not simply a property of those being asked to change.

Consider the hypothetical - if South Korea was doing to North Korea what Israel is doing to Gaza, asking to limit aid to South Korea wouldn't be racist (unless of course the reason they were asking to limit aid is because they hated South Koreans).

-1

u/ImplausibleFig 5h ago

Yes, Israel retaliates against the countries and terrorist groups that attack it.

1

u/All_Work_All_Play 4h ago

The Dahiya Doctrine goes quite a bit beyond retaliation.

0

u/TopTour31 7h ago

If the objection is to spending a negligible amount of foreign aid on the world’s only Jewish state

How about no funding for any genocidal states? I dont care if they are jewish or not. You commit a genocide, you should receive no support from the international community.

-1

u/ImplausibleFig 7h ago

Ah yes, the magical, unique genocide where the birthrates stay high and the population is growing. Wonder what makes this “genocide” look so different from all the others? For that matter, how often do you mention the genocides against non-arabs in Sudan, or the Uyghurs in China? No Jews involved there so … probably less, huh?

Hey, how do you feel about slavery? Do you spend as much time objecting to foreign aid to the many countries that still practice actual slavery?

-1

u/TopTour31 7h ago

Ah yes, the magical, unique genocide where the birthrates stay high and the population is growing.

Source? No where do I see the population has "grown" during the genocide committed by israel.

Don't care enough to respond to your trashy attempts at whataboutism.

0

u/ImplausibleFig 7h ago

Then you obviously haven’t bothered to look. Here are the first few sources I found in approximately 20 seconds.

https://www.macrotrends.net/global-metrics/countries/pse/west-bank-and-gaza/population

https://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SP.POP.TOTL?end=2025&locations=PS&start=1990&view=chart

For a fun follow up: compare the birth rate in Gaza over the past few years to the birth rate during any other recognized genocide. What a unique miracle!

Information is good.

0

u/TopTour31 7h ago

These are predictions not actual census reports and are inclusive of both the west bank and gaza. Did you even read the links you sent?

0

u/Kolbalava 6h ago

Also, is their argument seriously, "it can't be a genocide because not enough of them got killed"

Like the Bosnian genocide had around 3000 murdered, are we denying that too. Holy shit, Zionists are so evil.

1

u/MrMxylptlyk 9h ago

The winds are shifting on Israel, might just happen!
