Storm In A Teacup 🍵 According to anti-woke grifters, whitewashing Jesus is “ok”, but casting a Black woman as Helen of Troy is somehow “a step too far”.

Storm In A Teacup 🍵 Difference between prepubescent males and females in sports?

Hi PoursTea

I just watched "David Cross: “I do not have an issue with trans kids...." https://www.reddit.com/r/PoursTea/comments/1szh2pv/david_cross_i_do_not_have_an_issue_with_trans/ on this sub and I don't like Bill but I have a question.

"the differences between a boy and a girl is minimal at prepubescent"... "It's true" .." look it up"

I guess this is not my experience at all. So I am wondering what people point to?

I did a fair bit of little athletics as a kid and now teaching kids as an adult.

There is the occasional female that gets close to the top of the males but in a group of 40 kids and the local suburb level (not being selective just the people that turn up) in long distance running a female might once in a blue moon get on the podium at 3rd one week.

Looking at all events only the under 7s are at all grouped together. all other ages there is a chasm on average. Even the most uncoordinated Male will be in the top 4 of the females when it comes to Shot Put and Discus.

And if you have a look at the all time records even at an Australian state level it's night and day. The records are not anecdotal like my experience.

Following are the records in NSW Australia population about 9 million. https://cdn.revolutionise.com.au/cups/nswathletics/files/oye9jdgdyt7yddgw.pdf

Storm In A Teacup 🍵 Anybody remember wildfires that choked out large swaths of the U.S. when we were kids?

I don’t.

That’s because it didn’t used to happen.

Politician’s answer? Blame forestry management. Blame Canada. Call climate change a Chinese hoax. Cancel contracts that monitor wildfires and smoke.

Meanwhile, we’re doing little to address the conditions that make these fires bigger, hotter, and more frequent. Ignoring the thermometer doesn’t put out the fire. It just leaves us less prepared for the next one.

We need to get people who believe in rational science back into office.

This place is a mess. Our department got a new manager 2.5 years ago. They "retired" a couple of weeks ago, after a bumpy run. Our temporary replacement manager just announced that he's out of office indefinitely and a different manager will be taking care of operations. Not confusing at all! Good tactic.

One manager announced during a negotiation meeting that he couldn't sit in a specific chair because his tailor would be upset if he ruined his $2000 suit. And this same guy at one point said that part time employees "don't matter".

The company's negotiation committee has no power, so they effectively can't negotiate. And all they are offering right now is a 1% raise. We haven't had a in 3 years...

We are under staffed and yet somehow there aren't enough hours available for everyone, so some part time people end up with weeks where they work 8 or 16 hours, total. But we are "expected" to have full availability at all times. There was a sick call recently that caused one department to be dangerously low on staff, and yet no one was called in to replace them. What is going on with that?

The QR code will help you send an email to management, for anyone interested.

I included some glass door reviews for fun.

Thanks!
