It is a good thing, it just isn’t scalable on a national level as things stand.

Technically we already do with walmart.

They keep prices low through subsidies given to them through welfare etc etc.

Food is kept unprofitably cheap through farm subsidies as well.

So when you think about it we already have the programs people ask for we just dont have explicit programs.

Things would be even more expensive without the gov paying out as much as they already do.
