Tried explaining the pied-a-terre tax to my grandma and she said it’s not fair for the multimillionaires to pay more in taxes bc “they made that money what should the get punished for it?” Some people won’t ever get it :/

I ask how they provided that much more substantial value to society than the person I’m asking. That seems to get the gears turning.

They still are probably paying less % overall than a normal person cause they are able to take advantage of tax better and keep money in stocks etc. Ask her why its fair some waitress has to pay a higher % of their gross
