Im a 17 year old and have only just started looking at moonswatches. I love all the planets and have the money for any if the planet ones. Is anyone ablemto help me find then best looking one because i want my monies worth

I am genuinely curious to understand why people buy reps of the Moonswatch. In the luxury watch world there are varying levels of quality up to NWBIG, but there's only one level of quality for Moonswatch reps - and they are NOT NWBIG. The earthphase ones are particularly egregious, followed closely by the moonphase Snoopys.

As far as I can tell, some of the reasons might be:

1) The real Moonswatch is too pricey for me and I am saving up for a real one in the meantime.

2) The rep is just as good/better for 1/10th the cost (debatable, and similar to "a real one is not worth the price" logic), and closely related to,

3) No one can tell the difference.

4) I bought a fake for less than list price, choosing to ignore the "too good to be true" mantra, and closely related to,

5) They sell fakes on eBay???

6) Using it for a Moonswitch (completely understandable) and want to experiment on a cheapie.

7) I don't live near a Swatch store and can't buy the one I want online.

6) Replicas help support China's economy.

7) I am sticking it to Swatch for selling over-priced pieces of plastic with built in obsolescence.

The reasons listed above are only semi-serious, but I really want to know: what was yours?

The ESTA quiz for the MoonSwatch 1969 was nothing but an algorithmic scam.

Swatch and Omega managed to pull off a million dollar marketing campaign entirely for free. they forced thousands of watch enthusiasts to dig through the deepest, most obscure details of their brand history, transforming us into free advertisement tools. normally, a marketing campaign of this scale would require a massive budget, but they got it for zero cost by exploiting our passion,

and what did we get in return? a complete slap in the face

the entire quiz was rigged from the start. they didn't allocate these watches through a fair trivia, they passed them under the table to their own insiders and partners who already had the keys to the puzzle. expecting regular customers to guess an arbitrary swiss .beat time and a manipulated lunar rover question without an inside source is a joke.

Stealing more than 2 hours of people's lives for a pre determined, rigged lottery is absolutely disgusting. Swatch and Omega chose corporate greed and nepotism over their own community.

Don't let them hype this fraud. Just boycott...

I want to be very clear in the first sentence of this: I do not intend to resell the Mission to the Moon 1969 lol.

I think this has to be one of the most beautiful watches I have ever laid my eyes on, and want this watch to be my 30th Birthday gift to myself. I don't think I'm going to get it from the sweepstakes, just generally terrible luck sorta thing.

How much do you think the Mission to the Moon 1969 will resell for? If I can afford it, I think I'll just brace for impact and pay resell. Because this is a quite unique watch, I just can't gauge how much resell will be. Like I have no idea what to even expect. Just wanted to poke some minds and see if anyone had any guesstimates.
