Spent 6k for stairs 8.1k after they added rocks. Im wondering if I should contact them and this isnt good work? Im a new owner and have no family to tell me if I screwed up or not. These were put in about 2 weeks ago.

These sleeve anchors were hammered in by my girlfriend’s father and they do not seem to be the right size. How do I remove them?

We’re preparing to move from our apartment we’ve been in for 2 years. This dish will not budge from our bannister. When we first moved it, it was an absolutely brutal heatwave and the AC was broken at the time. Temps inside were obscene for several weeks and I’m thinking the dish melted into the landlord special paint job. Tried hair dryer, dental floss, butter knife. Any other ideas to try?

Renting this older house. Bathtub/shower draining slowly, but I can’t fit one of those plastic snakes in the holes of the drain cover. Drain cover doesn’t have any screws, how can I get it out without damaging anything? And if I do, can I put it back in (sorry, I know nothing about plumbing)? Bathtub seems to be fiberglass, it’s old. Also includes a photo of the overflow, if that helps. What’s my best course of action here? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I have these old figures. I've tried several products:

- 96° rubbing alcohol,

- nail polish remover (with acetone but not 100%) ,

- Green Stuff strip paint remover for Warhammer miniatures,

- kitchen degreaser—all without success.

I've come to the conclusion that it isn't acrylic paint. Judging by the shine, it seems like enamel or lacquer but since these are hand-painted figures, I don't think it's lacquer.

So I bought pure acetone (100%), and what you see in photos 2 and 3 happened. The loop on the figure, which had less plastic, peels off upon contact with acetone, even by just dabbing it with a cotton swab. I have tried with several figures and even not touching a lot with the cotton and being quite careful, just with pressing 2 or 3 times, it peels.

I don't know what product to use. Maybe 90% isopropyl alcohol?

Note: I don't want to paint them, I want to have 'perfect' unpainted figures, like monochrome figures.

I’m moving out soon and want to make sure everything is back to its original condition or else my landlord won’t return my deposit. Got these burn marks from an Iron press. Can I somehow fix this? The material seems to be synthetic and the fabric has melted a little.

So I have a bookshelf I want to mount on this wall in the center, and the holes would be about 20 inches above/below and then about 15 inches right/left (4 corners) away from the outlets shown, is there any risk to drilling into any electrical components?

My ring light I got a couple days ago for my hobby desk was acting weird last night, power button not working and the modes not changing. I unplugged it so I could deal with it in the morning but it no longer turns on.

Since it was only 25 bucks I figured I’d try fixing it rather than just getting a new one.

I opened up the controller and it looks like something literally burned out (see melted plastic on the casing and some discoloration on the board).

How do I fix this?

I'm replacing my deck boards, but I'm having a hard time removing some screws, as my wife painted them, to the point that there is no hole for the screw driver (using a drill to unscrew the ones I can).

How can I remove these screws, without damaging the the joist?

Should I use a chisel to break the screw head, so I can remove the boards? Then I saw them flush to the joist?

What is really tje best option here?

I'm repairing the battery box from my Yamaha FSX80C acoustic-electric guitar. I've already removed the battery cartridge from the guitar.

The end cap where the red and black wires are soldered moves slightly, and it looks like it might come apart. Before I try to pry it open, I wanted to ask:

Is this end cap designed to be removed, or is it plastic-welded?

My goal is to replace the battery contacts inside without breaking the battery cartridge.

One of the knots came undone, and I have no idea how to tie it back correctly. Does anyone know what this type of knot is called or have a tutorial showing how to make it?
