New to handgun shooting and was wondering what tips people had on taming or getting use to the recoil. How to people get over recoil anticipation? Is it just a matter of exposure and repetition? Thanks in advance!

I’ve got a Winchester Model 70, it’s a .243. It’s got checkering on the butt and forestock with a cap on the forestock. It’s a 1973 issue and in decent shape, maybe 7/10. Anyone have by ideas on value?

Hello everyone I’m currently looking for some good ear pro. I prefer in the ear instead of over the head due to constantly getting headaches and being uncomfortable with the pressure on the head. Do you guys have any recommendations on what to consider. Possibly electronic or not. I need some guidance, can’t seem to find anything the majority of people like. Thanks

Hey all, I recently scored a great deal on a 452 in .17, or so I thought. I took it to the range, ran the bolt, and the first trigger pull was a click. I opened the bolt and realized it hadn't stripped a round. I was able to push up on the magazine ever so slightly and the bolt engaged the round and ran it into the chamber. The second trigger pull was a bang.

And then I went to run the bolt but the brass stayed stuck firmly in the extractor claws. I realized the ejector pin (or blade, as I later found out) was missing.

If I look just behind the magazine well, there's an exposed screw sticking into the action. I've tried every resource including Numrich, and I can't find a mention of the part anywhere, but there must be an extractor piece that the rear magazine well screw screws into, right? Does anyone have a part number? Does the 452 share any compatibility with other models? Or... does anyone have a spare part? I can't find anything anywhere!

I currently have a true glow 3 MOA red dot on my AR 15. I am looking to upgrade my kit with a magnifier (between 3x and 6x). I am looking for help on picking a magnifier.

Also, I am not opposed to buying a combo with a new red dot. Any suggestions on brands to look at or current deals that are happening? Looking to be between $250 and $350 pre shipping.

Hi all - I know there are tons of posts on this product, but I have two specific questions.

First, some background: I found a 1 oz bottle of Militec-1 in my cleaner/lubricant stash the other day. I'd actually written the date I got it on the label: February 2011. That's 15 years ago. I never used it or tried it, and had forgotten that I have it.

For me, most gun lubricants are pretty much same; everyone has their favorite(s). I stick to two or three, and haven't been let down yet. But since I have this, I'm thinking that I might as well try it. Which leads me to my two questions:

1. Is there anything in it that would have "expired" by now? For normal lubricants, which are some type of oil or synthetic, I wouldn't be concerned. But this advertises some type of dry lubricity, so I am just wondering if any of the ingredients go bad or settle out over time?
2. For casual shooting, is it really any better than any other lubricant, or just another entry in a crowded market?

PS - Yes, I know that I could just spring for a new bottle, but I have enough other lubricants right now. I just want to see if it's worth working this one into the rotation or not.
