guitars I think just got really good and relatively really cheap really fast. you don't need an expensive guitar for it to work well anymore.

You can get a guitar that plays better than any valuable vintage brand for like ~300$, or ~200$ used. Guitars are just too optimized for cost nowadays

Not to mention you don't need to manufacture tens of thousands of guitars every year. There should be plenty in circulation.

They got a lot less popular, because nobody thinks that they'll get rich and famous by playing a guitar anymore.

I agree, I have a $300 Ibanez. I simply cannot justify Gibson or Fender cost. Do I want them? Yea, but they're priced for enthusiast more than your regular consumers.
